The wind howled by and whipped the coarse sand against Marok's tanned skin. But still he pressed on, he had to reach Rabanastre before The Sandsea closed. The gate was on the other side of the Estersand from him. He had to make it, he wanted his payment. Marok had just been on a bounty for somebody in the sandsea and he wanted his reward. He was getting really annoyed because he was dragging an extremely heavy sack.

"Why wouldn't that stupid wolf die earlier?" Marok thought to himself "and why did that stupid old fool want your corpse?"
Marok breathed out hard and gave another heave to start dragging the sack up a slope.
"Damn thing lose some weight will ya'?" Marok said quietly.
After that comment Marok remained silent until he reach the top of the hill, where he sat down on the sack. It began to wriggle and growl.
"Shut up will ya'" Marok yelled as he slammed his hammer into the sack several times. It finally gave out a yelp and fell still. Marok looked accross towards the gate. It was only about twenty feet from him. So he grabbed a firm hold of the sack and dragged it along. The gates were already open so he made his way through. He dragged the sack into the city centre and sat upon it again. Marok looked around him and saw a quite a few strange looks being cast his way. He noticed a bangaa sat upon the floor. It was so thin Marok could see its bones being outlined on its skin.

"Hey you" Marok shouted to the bangaa. It looked up "You wanna' make some gil?"
The Bangaa nodded its head and staggered to it's feet.
"Help me drag this to the Sandsea" Marok requested.
The Bangaa dragged itself towards Marok and took hold of the sack. The pair began to drag the sack through the centre and up a side street.
"I didn't expect it to have this much strength. How long has it been without food? And how is it able to keep going?" Marok pondered as he glanched accross at the Bangaa. It was pulling without stumbling. Marok looked ahead and saw that the sandsea was getting closer there was only another six or seven feet to go. When the two stopped Marok let go of the sack and entered the building. He glanced around and saw the old man that had hired him sat at a small table in the corner of the building. Marok approached him and sat opposite the old man.

"Your little dog is outside" Marok said calmly to the old man. He looked accross the table towards Marok and surveyed him through his old eyes.
"Now my payment if you please" Marok said extending his hand. The old man gave out a quick laugh and reached into his pocket and pulled out a small red velvet bag.
"1000 Gil like i promised" The old man wheezed.
"You said 1000 if it was dead, i brought it back alive" Marok said with a growl entering his voice.
The old man put his hand in his pocket for a second time and pulled out another bag, this one was made of blue silk.
"There another 1000 gil, now bring it in" The old man spat.

Marok got to his feet and gracefully walked towards the doors and pushed them open. The Bangaa was still there. It looked at Marok as he came out.
"I'm a Veira of my word" Marok said with a smile as he reached into the velvet bag and grabbed a handful of gil. He passed it to the Bangaa. "I don't know how much is there but i hope that is enough" The Bangaa stared at the heap of gil in it's hands as Marok dragged the sack into the sandsea. He dragged it towards the old man who had a look of awe across his face.

"What?" Marok asked "Oh! You didn't think it was this big did you?"
Marok laughed and made his way to the bar. He ordered a drink and sat there drinking happily.
"I still find the taste of this hume drink a bit strange but it's good for calming down" Marok thought to himself.

Clazon saw and yet did not see the man enter the bar, as he did everything else. He lifted his drink to his lips and ignored him, thinking of him to be little to no consequence to his question. He did not know where he was, exactly. This proposed a problem, but mainly one of identity, which he had not lost. He simply did not know where to go. this would remedy itself in due time. His eversight sense told him of his immediate surroundings, and that he was in no immediate danger.

Sitting in his usual spot in a remote corner of the bar, Auran watched as the Veira entered, got paid (and paid handsomely from the looks of it), dragged in a large sack, and laughed his way to the bar.

"Lucky [censored], " he grumbled to noone in particular, "Some people get all the good jobs..."

With that Auran took a swig from his tankard and waited for his food to come.

Clazon set his mug down, and wondered what dirty deed of death and destruction that one had to have done to gain that coin. He pushed his shades up the bridge of his nose, not that they needed it, and continued watching the new arrival while drinking.

Marok turned around to face many strange looks. He got to his feet and cleared his voice.
"Hey what's with you? Why are you staring at me? haven't you seen a veira before or something?" Marok roared at the top of his voice to all the people in the sandsea.
With that of his chest he sat down and ordered another drink.

Clazon stealthily got up, and in passing him on his way out responded.

"Whether we have or not is irrelevant. Outsiders apparently are not welcome here, the same as paradise. They are selective." he said, not turning to look at him as he spoke, then walked enigmatically out the door and waited outside to see if he would follow him.

((hey I'm reading the Dune series, can I use some of the terms from that? Like Shai-Halud for heaven, and such...))

Where was that damn serving girl?
Auran was getting impatient, no he had gone beyond inpatience and was getting rather aggrivated. Looking around he saw that the girl who took his order was busy chatting it up with one of the waiters and had seemed to have forgotten about the food she was supposed to be delivering to Auran.

"Gods damn it," he growled as he stood and moved over to the two chatting service workers, "I swear that this bar must hire the most air-headed..."

Upon reaching the chatting couple he deftly spun his waitress around so that he could talk to her, but before he could say a word, the waiter (who was apparently the waitress' boyfriend) shoved him back against a wall while yelling out, "HEY! wad're you doin wit my girl?"

Those were the last words out of the waiter's mouth before Auran's gauntleted fist knocked him flat.

"Now, as I was about to say," Auran said turning to the rather terrified waitress as though nothing unusual had happened, "I believe you took my order about an hour ago, and I know for a fact that it doesn't take that long to make a damn sandwitch. Normally I would tell you to go and get it but apparently you are too incompitant so I'll have to get it myself."

With that said, Auran turned and headed towards the kitchen (the waitress fainted right after he stopped talking to her) grabbed the sandwitch that he had ordered and left the bar, tossing the bartender a gil and saying simply, "Hire some smarter help next time."

Marok growled under his breath.
"Who does that guy think he is to talk to me like that" Marok thought. "I'll knock him into the middle of next week" and with that said, Marok grabbed his belonging's and headed to the door. He smashed the door's open and stared around for the man that had addressed him in the bar.
"When I get my hands on that guy i'll..." Marok mummbled. He saw the man just off to his left hand side.
"Hey! What was with the comment? Just who do you think you are?" Marok demanded of the other man.

((OOC: I'm not sure what they all are but if you can show them me i'll decide ok?))

((Mind if I hop in?))

Roland shook his head in a bit of disgust. Sitting atop of a large chair and sipping at a small drink, he watched as the little scenario played out. He streatched back in his seat, unfolding and refolding his wings. He then sat straight, downing the last of his drink. He looked over at the waitress who had finally come to. "Another refill please, kupo." When she didn't respond, he sighed. "Fine, I'll get it myself." He hopped down from his seat and strolled over to the bar counter. He jumped and using his wings, pushed himself onto the counter. He grabbed the pitcher and poured himself another drink. He then sat down in one of the stools, deciding it was better here.
The hume behind the counter looked him. "Aren't you a little young to be drinking?"
Roland simply placed a few gil pieces on the counter for him. "No, I'm not kupo. And I've payed for all my drinks, including this one. Now leave me alone kupo."
The bartender shook his head. "Moogles."

He pushed his shades up before answering.

"My material flesh, if it may be called so, can be but one identity. Myself, on the other hand, may be all of creation within, or nothing at all outside. The cosmos is an interesting place, if you know where to look." he said shaking his head slowly and moving away from the wall. "If you look to label my flesh, you may call me The Prophet. There is no name for anyone's actuality." he stated simply, eyeing the man. "The words I departed upon you were a small truth I have found to be evident though much error. You seemed to be in a need of such information."

"Your a bit full of yourself aren't you?" Marok said tighten his fist's."Do you think your superior to everybody else?"
Marok stepped towards the man.
"Do you think you better than me? And does that give you the right to speak to me in that manner?"

"Superior? there is no such thing. I speak from learning, nothing more. Nobody has superiority over another soul, not a king even over an ant. Shai-Halud welcomes all evenly." he said passively, watching the man walk up to him but making no visible move of violence.

Roland sipped his drink a bit more. Spots were starting to appear. Or...where they...? His world swirled. I've had enough, he though to himself. He looked down into his drink. Half full. Or was it half empty? It didn't matter. He hiccuped drunkingly. Shaking his head he glided woozily down from his stool, shaking his head of his drunken slur. He decided to go home before he got worst. He rubbed his eyes and began to walk towards the door to leave. His steps were a bit awkward, but he knew he wasn't that drunk. If he was he'd be on the floor by now. But no, he was walking and he still knew what he was doing.

"What are you talking about" Marok demanded of the man "I think you've had to much to drink"
Marok walked away from the man, down an alley.
"I think I should go home before it gets any darker or I end up breaking that guy's neck" Marok thought to himself.

The alley Marok was walking down was dark and fairly long. Any other creature would be in danger due to lack of sight, but not Veira's, their eye's were better in the dark that the light. Marok walked quietly down the alley thinking to himself. He was stirred from his trail of thoughts when two men cald in black cloth rounded the cornder ahead of him. Marok turned and saw two more men aproaching the back of him.

"Drop any gil you are carrying Veira and you can go unharmed" One of the men said.
"is that a threat hume?" Marok asked viciously.
"What do you think, you idiot" Another man piped
One of the men ahead of Marok drew a long blade from his back and slowly aproached him. Marok gather some of his energy together in his hand. He waited for the man to come a bit closer then launched his Aero attack at him, blasting him out of the alley.
"Wh...What? A mage?" One of the called. One of the ones behind Marok turned and fled.
"Huh?" Marok said turning to watch the fleeing man "I hate quitter's" Marok built his energy up in his hand again, this time instead of casting it on the fleeing man, he cast in on himself, and in the blink of an eye, he was infront of the fleeing man. Marok laughed once then shot the man down the alley with his water magick.

"Two down, two to go" Marok thought as he built up his energy for a fourth time. He sprinted towards one of the men and stopped a few feet away. He launched another of his magicks, and a flame erupted around the man. The man remained silent. Marok began to laugh, but stopped abruptly when the flame subsided. A man in silver armour was stood there, with a large lance in his hands.

"Imperials?" Marok shouted as he looked for an exit "Oh man i'm dead, i just picked a fight with them imperial's, i'm a wanted veira now" Marok run past the armoured man and picked his pace to sprint. He could see the door's to the sandsea again. He run into them, knocking them open and continuing to run. As Marok ran he looked for a hiding place, then he saw one, the upper balcony.
"Only fighters from other city's come up here i should be safe" Marok thought as he sat at a table and began to get his breath back.

Roland watched as the Viera ran past his view in a blur. He blinked. Walked outside then ran back in? What he forget, another drink? He shrugged to himself. As he walked outside, the sun shown down onto his furred head. He moved his hand to cover his eyes away from the blinding sun and started his way home. A Bangaa stoped him only a few steps later.
"I know you," the Bangaa said in a sinister tone. "You're Roland Ratslif the Hunter. You got a pretty bounty on your little head..." the Bangaa grinned. "And I aim to colllect it."
Roland swore under his breath. What a day to get drunk he though to himself. He reached for his sword and gun before relizing he had left them at home. Roland swore again, only this time louder. This was not going to be pretty.
