The usual evening fog was rising on the docks, and the gas lanterns dimly shimmered through the white mist, not much brighter than the silver full moon shining down from the cloudy sky.

Inspector Aleister Carradine ignited a self-rolled cigarette with his petrol lighter and took a deep draught.
Because some stupid Wolf Lord who was way too close to the mayor for Carradine's tastes was afraid his important cargo would be stolen he had to spend his free night out here on the wet piers and watch the dockers unloading.
The tall coyote policeman adjusted his black leather gloves and tightened his equally black suede coat around his waist to keep the dampness away.

The wharfies, all felines, mostly burly tigers, grunted and moaned as they unloaded the heavy wooden chests from the small steamboat. Only two other officers were out here with him, as this was not really an official duty.
Not one Carradine could avoid though.

Suddenly a shot rang out from several streets away.
Several others followed.
Great, just what he needed, another mobster shooting. The port area was notorious for the many gang wars.
The dockers had dropped their crates and quickly went for cover behind the many crates and containers stacked around.

Carradine quickly did the same, put pulled his trusty Revolver from the leather halfter.

Suddenly though something cracked inside one of the very large crates the man had dropped. The fall had already broken some laths and now suddenly they were torn apart from the inside.

Staring in disbelieve Inspector Carradine could simply watch the crate being shred apart. Something white and furry, very possibly and anthro escaped and with only a few very high and wide jumps it had got away and disappeared into the shadows between the warehouses.

Carradine didn't usually believe into the supernatural, but had never seen anyone move disappear that fast.
He shook his head, focussing on the matter at hands he knew how to act about: The gangfight.

As soon as I heard the gunshots, I ducked into an alleyway. When it became apparent they weren't directed at me, or that the police weren't making much of an effort to show up I continued on my way. Passing a rusty Model A Roadster, I glanced around quickly. Seeing no one I leaned into the open driver's window and unlocked the door. Crouching behind the door I got the engine started and got in. Soemone yelled behind me and I hit the gas, "Wonder, what this baby'll sell for down at the docks." I said and turned left. A gang fight was brewing nearby so I slowed down. something big and white ran across the car. the Brakes squeeled in protest as I jumped on them and the thing vanished before I could identify it. Something was going on.

Lohti was nearby when the shooting occured, but was not stupid enough to risk his life to actually be in it. He heard the shots ring off from his 'office', however, and dispatched some goons to intercept with the order that "We cannot afford others to show disrespect on our territory."

He signalled to Guiro to bring in the troublemaker. Apparently he had instigated a fight with the guards at one of the clubs. His clubs. He stood and looked out the window as the troublemaker was ushered in, and two bodyguards along with him.

"Take a seat, and tell me your name." he said, not even turning to adress the guest.

((there we go Godhand, I've intro'd your person for you. And gave Carradine some action. in one good post!))

Jack sits down. "My name is Jack Takemoto, and I'm looking for some excitement. My old life was just too stale for me, so I came here for some fun. {And to make some trouble} he added in Japanese. He yawns and stretches in the chair. "This is a nice chair, very comfortable. Probably goes for a lot of money." He keeps eying the chair appreciatively.

"Leave this to me!! You stay here and guard the damn unloading!"
, the experienced Inspector barked at his officers when they tried to go after the gunshots.

With swift and silent little dashes Carradine went from one crate to the next until he reached the warehouse-walls.
Slowly he slided along them with his back against them, gun raised with both hands.

Then finally he side stepped around the corner, bringing his gun up at any possible enemies immediately.

However, instead of the shootout he expected he saw something else:
At least 5 or 6 men were lying in pools of blood in the alleyway, guns still smokin.
It looked as if a beast had ripped them apart.
Before he could do much he heard the noise of approaching cars...

As fast as he could Carradine crouched down behind another crate in the alleyway again. The other end of the alley was illuminated by headlights and he heard doors snap open and closed. Then only surprised breathtaking and silence for a moment before the goons that had just arrived spoke again.

"Geedamn, Barney lookit that mess! "
"Well, I what the hell...?"
"I guess we should inform Mr. Valia immediately..."

Lohti smiled, but kept his attention to the window.

"One may find much more than excitement meddling in other's affairs, and that can indeed be... dangerous to one's health." He waited a moment for that to sink in and for him to catch the underlying meaning before he added: "{And underestimating anothers Lingual skills certainly adds to that danger." he said. He had dealt with the russian mafia, the yakuza, gangs in other parts of the city, the Italian mafia, and more. He had to know their language to avoid a big bloodbath. Now he turned around to face Jack.

"You have shown this danger primarily through a great disrespect, and through that comment you just inadvertantly said. Both are considered crimes here, and rest assured you will be punished. But, as I view myself to be a fair man, I must ask. Have you anything to say in your defense?"

This would be when a plot-conveniant knock on the door sounded, and Lohti made a hand motion.

"I will give you some time to think about this, considering you are new in town. My guards will escort you to the waiting room outside while I deal with this matter. Then I shall see to you." he said, and the guards would either guide Jack out or drag him to the waiting room as another goon enters.

((gave you an option to leave as you please, didn't want to auto.))

Jack looks unimpressed. {I did not underestimate you nor your lingual skills, and if I have insulted you, then I am sorry, for what I meant was to stir the pot that is this town, to cause a little excitement, to end the staleness that is my life. I also have no fear of death if that is what you are assuming. I accept that death is apart of life and if it is my time to die, then I die fighting. I will wait, but if your bodyguards touch me, they will not be around much longer.} Walks out the door, past the guy, and sits in the waiting room.

Carradine couldn't understand the rest of the conversation of the hired goons that had arrived at the place as they had continued with scared low whispers.

What he got was something like a Cajun prayer and again the name Mr. Valia before the quick footsteps and receeding motor noises told him they had left the site.
Slowly he rose to his feet, stepping a little closer to the mess.
Yes, someone had slashed this guys into pieces... perhaps he had used a sword or multiple daggers.

He noticed bullet holes on both of the walls. It seems the situation had been rather chaotic.

Behind him the voice of one of his young subordinates approached:

".... Sir, the crates are all on the lorries now and..."
The young fox girl broke off immediately as she noticed the bloody corpses and cut limbs in the dark alleyway.

She choked, and immediately put a handkerchief to her mouth fighting the urge to puke. The stench was overwhelming but her superior didn't seem to be fazed by the situation at all.
He inpsected the site with his usual stoic calm, and noticing her panting heavily leaning against the wall bellowed:
"Pull yourself together Officer! If you want to live as an officer of the law you'll have to get used to things like this!"

He motioned casually towards the direction of the port offices with the paw that was still holding his gun and added:
"Rather than stand around here and gawk go fetch the harbormaster and ring about station house, they should send the Doc down here."

The officer was confused.
"The Doc sir?", she managed to get out.
"The damn coroner, moron. What did you think? A brain surgeon?!"

The young vixen quickly nodded and rushed off, happy to get away from the site of crime.

Khain was modifieng his guns. Suddenly he heard gunshots.
"Damn those mobsters..I hope they get what they deserve.."
He looked at his guns, agony and irony he called them.
"That would help the trigger good enough."
He leaned back in his chair, his hair covering his eyes as he started to take a nap.

Hopi was not scared that she was looked at in different way then everyone else. She had know from the beinging that she was going into a place that placed men above her but still when through. Also, she had not found a lot of people wanting to mess with her, she didn't know why but thought it had something to do with the large totem she carried with her. Her just coming up from the docks saw the ranther large male Coyote point and the young fox doing as she was told. Not liking this and smelling blood in the air she wanted to go see. Coming up to a officer. "You, needed a doctor?"

The tall coyote only turned his head, and examined the rabbit-womans whole figure, registering the feathers in the hair and the tribal markings on her fur.
One of those idiotic followers of one of that swamp religions. Carradine already disliked the mindless piety of his catholic colleagues, going to church only so that he wouldn't attract attention.
He didn't believe in any gods.

"Hmph." , he exhaled trough his nostrils, voicing all this disdain of this nosy person with that, and turned to look at the site again.
Carradine brought his arms together behind his back, one hand grasping the wrist of the other.

"This is an official crime scene, and definitely not a place a young lady as yourself should be hanging about at this time of night. Good Day."

A third officer, a young human with short black hair quickly roped off the scene, passing between Hopi and the Inspector.
The officer waited until Carradine was a few steps away before adressing her in a more friendly and concerned manner than his superior:
"You really should leave, Miss... it truely isn't a sight you would enjoy.."

Meanwhile Gordon approached some kind of commotion. There Patrol officers with petroleum lanterns.
It looked like some kind of heavy accident, with at least three cars involved. Red stains formed on a white blanket thrown over a human form on the street. The street was completely roped off, and he would have no choice but to slow down if he wouldn't want to crash through pedestrians, police and parked cars.
From what he could see at least two of them were white and black Oldsmobile Sedans: New Suzette Police.

A bearded policeman approached him with a light, motioning to slow down and to turn down the window.

After going over the weekly report of who had paid their insurance and plotting what kind of 'persuesion' would occur to those who didn't, the goon left, and another rushed in, obviously disquieted and disclosed the situation of what the scene had looked like when their car had arrived at the scene of the shooting. Lohti was calm after his very descriptive reaccount.

"It would seem.... that there are forces at work here. Not to worry, it seems to have only struck our foes. We'll have to travel in larger groups to prevent the same from happening to any Valia family member. I will smooth this over with the other families next week, and maybe we can join forces to eliminate this threat. Until then, let it roam, and be careful." he said, dismissed that goon, then signalled to talk to the troublemaker again.

She lifts the large totem in her hand and placed it on the ground. "You said you need a Doctor, or healer. I am sorry to say but i will not leave until i see what i can do to help the body." Gently slamming the totem against the ground make a small crack in the ground under its weight. "Besides your just a man why should i listen to you two."

Jack is sitting on the couch when the goon shows up. "You, the boss wants to talk to you, now."The goon grabs Jack and roughly picks him up. "You shouldn't have done that. Now you pissed my off" Then Jack quickly throws a palm strike to the goons chin, breaking his neck and killing him instantly. Then he proceeds to walk in the office.
