Okay, let's face it, Elder Scrolls series in general is amazing. I have all four (No, seriously, I have Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, AND Oblivion.) and I love 'em all. Daggerfall has a great skill system (And the dungeons are awesome as well). Morrowind is still the best for its insane replay value though. Oblivion was good for a while, but once you beat the main quest you got bored as heck. At least I did.
And dungeons after level 20...*Shudder*
Morrowind is just...amazing. I love it lots. It's probably my favorite RPG in a looong time, despite Oblivion's better graphics and stuff. I played Morrowind for at least three or four years, and it was the beginning for alot of my roleplay ideas and characters.
Daggerfall is pretty good. Very, very massive, which means I don't run out of places to visit, but...the main problem is that everything tends to blend together. All the cities start looking the same, as do the crypts and dungeons...until you find a map that shows you a secret dungeon! Those dungeons are almost always super-huge, like a massive labyrinth you can spend days in, it's amazing! I spent five hours in one dungeon once. It had about ten floors and each one had at least eight or nine centaur, bandit, skeleton or imp filled rooms. Words cannot describe how the dungeon delver in me felt. I think I cried tears of joy on multiple occasions.
And then, finally, Arena. Arena is nice because it's very simple, no complicated stuff, it's a good MIG*, you know? Also, being able to go to all of Tamriel is a definite plus, since I haven't seen that in any other Elder Scrolls game.
However, sound doesn't seem to work with evil old DOS-box...
I need an old computer to play all my old games. =\
*Mindless Idiot Game
Anyways, discuss Elder Scrolls here.
