Update for January 13th

Hey, sorry about the delay in this week's comic. It's currently being worked on, but it'll still be another day or so before I finish it. In the mean time, I've put up a second incentive this week to make up for it, so be sure to check it out. :) Thanks for your patience. We'll soon be rejoining the main cast back on the Basitin Islands. I hope you've enjoyed this little detour away from them to put some long-needed focus on the secondary characters. I know it's been quite a long time since we've seen them, and it was kinda fun for me to go back and draw the old gang once again. But I'm sure you're all starting to wonder what happened to the main characters, so I'll do my best to update as fast as I can and get the story moving. Though I'm officially only doing one comic a week, I will try if I can to do more than that. Thanks for reading!

December 4th's Update

Currently I'm in the middle of inking the next comic, but I've become delayed. I'll try my best to finish it up sometime during the day, Friday EST. It'll be up eventually, no worries. I'm afraid I'm still trying to get used to this new update schedule. Three times a week is hard work... I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of things eventually. It'd be a lot easier if comics didn't take three times as long to finish as they used to...

In other news, I've added a new comic, Draconia, to the links section. Check it out.

The Next Comic

Hey, sorry about being so late on the next comic. I'm working on it, but I've been destracted by a lot of recent event. I'll have it done as soon as I can and post it up. Hopefully, I will be able to increase my update schedule much more once this chapter is finished. Thank you for your patience. I'll make up for the missed updates soon.

Delays due to Convention

The next comic has been delayed a little bit due to preperations being made for my attendance at ChibiPa. I will try to have one or two comics out sometime this week, probably Tuesday and Thursday if at all possible, and then I'll be leaving for the convention on Friday. I'll be returning Monday afternoon, so next week's comic will also likely be pushed back. If you don't hear from me by next Tuesday, I've been kidnapped, send help.

Convention

September 4th - 6th I will be attending a convention called Chibi-Pa at the Crowne Plaza Hotal in West Palm Beach, Florida. I've never been to a convention before so I'm sure this will prove to be an unusual experience. Their website is located at www.chibipa.com. If you're in the area, consider stopping by.

Delayed Due to Illness

Hey, yeah, sorry about the delay for Monday's comic. I've been practically bedridden the last day or so from a bug that really knocked me off my feet. I haven't had any opportunity to work on the comic until recently. The new comic has been started, but I'm running pretty much completely on meds at the moment. I'll do the best I can. Expect it to arrive on Wednesday.

Server Move Nearly Complete

Well, here we are, on our new private server. twokindscomic.com has finally been moved over and twokindscomic.com will be moved over soon. I'm sorry for all the delays and the problems that have come about because of the server issues. I hope that it will all be behind us now. This new private server is still untested, so there may still be problems cropping up in the future. But I certainly hope the biggest issues are over. I hope you will enjoy Twokinds' new home. Meanwhile, now that the server issues are resolved, I will work my best to get a new comic completely and published shortly. With any luck, I think I can have it done and out to you as soon as Friday. Cross your fingers.

Malware Problems and Site Moving

For the last few weeks I have been having a lot of problems with malware infecting the servers that Twokinds is hosted on. Periodically, it will inject an invisible iframe into the code causing problems and virus warnings to appear. It's an easy fix, but annoyingly reaccuring. Unfortunately, this time, I was asleep when it happened, and couldn't respond in time. Google declared the website bad, even after I fixed it. So I've moved the entire website to twokindscomic.com until the problem can be resolved.

But of course this is only a temparary solution. The problem remains that the host I am currently under is no longer secure, with all these virus problems continuously popping up. Therefor, I am preforming a server move now. Twokinds will be leaving ixwebhosting soon, and moving to a hopefully more secure private server from another provider. Expect some downtime as I preform the move.

I formally apologize for all the problems these malware bots have put all of us through. I hope it hasn't put you off from the comic. I will do everything in my power to try and put an end to these issues in the future.

Good News Regarding Web Host

Wow, thank you all for your kind show of support, donations, and suggestions on ways to alleviate the hosting problem. Thanks to one extremely generous donator in particular, I am now able to afford to purchase my own, private, dedicated server just for Twokinds. I am shopping around at the moment for the best service provider to go with, but soon I will begin tthe transitioning stage. The website may become unavailable for a while when the time comes to move, but hopefully after the dust has all settled, we'll all have a new place to call home.

In the meantime, I will continue to try and pump out as many comics as I can on top of working out the server issues. I am currently suffering from a rather nasty flu, so I'm afraid I've been rather sluggish lately with my drawings. I will be at top speed once again when all this stuff clears up. Thanks for sticking with us. Thanks to all of your patience and generocity, Twokinds will live on.

Bad News Regarding Web Host

I received some disappointing news today. I was just recently sent a message from my web host, basically saying that I was taking up too much of the 'unlimited' bandwidth I was paying for, and want me to either stop my visitors from coming in or leave. It seems despite my host advertising unlimited data transfer, they don't actually have to hold up their end of the deal thanks to their "Fair-Use" fine print. So pretty soon, within a few days, I may end up needing to change servers.

Unfortunately, these 'Fair-Use' agreements exist in just about every shared server web host on the net. Truth of the matter is, Twokinds has just become too big and too heavily trafficked for shared hosting. What it really needs right now is a private, dedicated server. Unfortunately, a month on a dedicated server can cost more than a year of shared server hosting, and I just can't afford it! I'm between a rock and a hard-place right now. But don't worry, one way or another Twokinds will pull through, but any suggestions or advice would be helpful.

Progress Update

First of all, I just want to thank all the readers who have stuck with Twokinds during this long, long story arc. It's taken way longer than I ever had imagined it would, but as you may be able to tell, the Basitin Island arc is quickly coming to a climax. So, I hope you've enjoyed the story so far. I appologize for my dramatically changing update schedule. I'm going to strive to update more often than I have been, just to get the story going along a bit faster. I know once a week isn't ideal. College is out for me this semester, so hopefully I'll have more time to work. Thanks for reading.

Gone Missing - be back on Monday

Sorry about going missing the last week. I hadn't intended to skip this week's updates, but time escaped me. There's no real reason for my absense - to be honest, I got caught up in school, video games, and projects; you know, the usual offenders. So, the passage of time has made a fool of me once more. The next comic has been sketched out for a whille but I won't be able to finish it in time to make up for the last two updates. So, I'm going to be playing catch-up on Monday. Come back in two days and I shall have a new page warmed up and ready for you. I might try and see if I can't sneak in another extra update for you guys later as well. Thank you for your time and patience.

Keidran Husbandry

I know today's comic gave way TMI about how Keidran breed. I couldn't see any way around it; Eric had to ask something, and I sorta wrote myself into a corner where that was the only story path out. I think it works alright, even if it's rather awkward for some people to listen to a discussion about animals breeding. Apologies in advance. Also, to any veterinarians, animal husbandry experts, or animal lovers, I know all that stuff about Keidran estrus is probably based nothing in reality. I don't know anything about real life estrous cycles or its effects, and I don't claim to. Everything described in the comic is entirely fictional and probably doesn't make any sense. Apologies in advance for that too! Other than that, I hope you continue to enjoy the series. I'll try to update these announcements more often. I usually never have anything to say...

New Ads and a New Website

Hello, Readers. You may have noticed a few changes taking place around the site recently. The most obvious of which is probably that new banner ad currently seated at the top of this news box. This is one of three new ad spots added to the website, thanks to Project Wonderful. Yes, these are advertisements, and I realize people hate advertisements. But these are MY ads, and they help provide funding to keep this website going. And they're from Project Wonderful, so you know the ads are coming from other comics and people like you and me. So, enjoy them. :)

Also new to the site is the forums! The old forums were OLD. I mean, really, really old. They were being held together with bubblegum and scotch tape. It was honestly getting to the point where any change I tried to make would probably cause the code to collapse in on itself. So now the forums have been updated to phpBB3.0 and they're quite stable. I know it'll take some time to get used to the new look, but I'm sure after a while the updates will be appreciated.

Finally, the biggest change is probably the archives! They have been completely updated, and are now being hosted by me, personally. No more ComicGenesis, it's all me. Because they're being hosted by me, I have a lot more control over how things works, including ad spaces. Also, it is now much faster to browse the archives. So, that should be encouraging for any new readers, or old readers who want to go through the archives again. Once again, thank you all for sticking with me. I will now be updating comics every Friday until further notice. So, enjoy the comics, the sites, and the updates to come. :) Until next time!

Thanks for the Donations

First of all, thank you all very much, those of you who participated in the donation drive. It was very much appreciated. I was amazed at ammount of donations that came in, and it really means a lot to me. I had intended to keep the donation drive going for a few weeks, but I had to end it after only three days once the meter surpassed 2000. I am eternally grateful to all of you. The donations will be put into the repairs of my car and the rest into paying for my tuition. Thank you very much.

On that note, I appologise for the delay in starting the next chapter. It's taking me longer to write the next arch than I had intended. I'd like to have this chapter as best thought out as I possibly can make it, so as everything wraps up neatly. I will update as soon as I finish the next page, and I will do my best to update more often this chapter. Thank you for your patience, and I hope you enjoy future updates.

Donation Drive for 2008

Hello, Readers! A new chapter and a new donation drive. I don't often hold out for donations, but unfortunately I've run into a few unexpected recent expences. The power steering in my car sprang a leak and had to be completely replaced, which cost quite a lot. Along with school and food costs, I've sorta become... completely broke. So, I'm asking for your help, readers.

Don't think I wont reciprocate your generosity, however. I haven't yet decided how... but there will be something for your trouble, I assure you. Thank you, ahead of time, and enjoy the next chapter.

I Returneth

Thank you all for being patient with me during my two week hiatus, and thank you all for your kind words of support. For all those who asked, my father is doing better. He be getting stronger and there is a surgery in the works that may be able to fix the hole in his throat. Hopefully, if all goes well, my father will be recovered. There's still a long way to go, but things are looking a little bit up.

Another reason for my absense these last couple weeks is because I've been suffering from the flu. Still am, but it's much better than it was. I was bed-ridden for several days with lots of unpleasent symptoms. Well, to appologize for my unresponsiveness in the last two weeks, here's a comic filled with cheesecake. :) Appologies to any of the ladies who don't appreciate the shameless perviness >_>; Perhaps the next hiatus, I'll return with something involving the males. xD Sorry again...

Taking a Time Out

Sorry about the delay, but I need some more time to finish the next comic. I was busy working on the book and a commission all weekend and I let the work get away with me. So I appologize. I'll have the comic up on Wednesday, or sooner if I can manage it. Hopefully I'll finally be able to get this book done and out of the way once and for all. It's coming along well, despite the huge ammount of work I have to put into it. Thank you all for your support. I will probably begin taking preorders of the book this summer.

Helping Out

Hope you've been enjoying the updates. As some of you may now, I'm friends with another webcomic artist, Phil Brown, aka Sage, who runs Yosh! comics. He's in a bit of a bind right now with his job, and I told him I'd help him out. Because of complications with work, he doesn't have enough cash to pay the bills this month. He's a great artist, though, so if any of you would like to help him, he's taking commissions. I'm sure he would appreciate any support. Thanks.

Monday Delay

Going to delay updating the comic just a little bit so I can get back on track. So far, I've managed three weeks of straight updates, but I'm starting to trip up a bit, so I need to take another day to collect myself and get back on track. I'll still update three times this week, they may just be later than normal. I hope you all are enjoying the more frequent update schedule in any case.

Entire Site Updated!

I've been meaning to do it for a long time, and now I finally have! Hopefully this will make up for the recent delays this week. This is what I've been up to this whole time. Now, the site might not look that much different, but I rewrote the entire site's html from the ground up. The code is neater, so the site should load a tiny bit faster now. Also, there's a new voting incentive! Something I haven't done in a while. I'll try to update that area as best I can. I hope you enjoy this updated site design.

When do I update?

I've been asked this question a lot lately, and it's understandable. My update schedule has been less then perfect at the best of times lately. Right now, I'm doing my best to update once a week, usually on a Monday. I used to update Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; and I will be returning to that schedule soon. What's keeping me from that schedule right now is my efforts on the book. Unfortunately, work on Twokinds is prohibiting my work on... Twokinds. I'm trying to figure out this juggling act, but I'll get it eventually. I can only ask for your patience, and thank you for your continued support.
