When people role play, are they supposed to role play in third person, as though they are telling what their character does, since they and their character are seperate? or are they supposed to actually play as their character and use first person? I've just been wondering if it can go both ways, or if it is supposed to be one way or the other, and I hope someone knows. or maybe it's an opinion thing? well then, I wanna see how many people play which ways then.

It's just a preference thing. I've found that it's normally in good form to follow the example of the maker of the rp, because it really bothers some people if it jumps around a lot, but other than that...it doesn't really matter.

Personally, I like third person...

He always used third person to RP. That's just the way he's seen so many others doing it. Who know why, perhaps he just wants to fit in. But third is Chrono's favorite way to RP.

First person is the only way for me. It sounds a little odd sometimes, but to me, it's worth it.

I'm a 3rd person RPer here...it just makes things easy...although when I RP in a chat I do it in 1st person. Depends on the situation

Don't you mean grammar check? Anyway I like first person... but I do tend to slip to 3rd from time to time...

well they always do spell checker and grammer check at the same time so why not call it one thing right ^^

third person is how i do things

I prefer first person. It allows you to get more involved in your character. Plus it just feels more natural to me.
