It looks really good. Was it specifically about the battle ofThermbopolea or were there other aspects of it in there?

I'm hesitant to see it, am a big fan of ancient history, and the Spartans battle at Thermopylae is my favorite piece to read about...Might consider seeing it, but I swear the first person to ask me if it was/based on a real event is gonna get a fork to the eye...and if I don't have a fork I'll improvise.

Wow. This movie was awesome. Well, with the exception of the sex scene and the parts containing a lot of nudity. Absolutely incredible!

One of the best movies I've seen since Lord of the Rings. No joke.

Frank Miller's a flippin' genius.

Pretty much the battle of Thermopylea and homefront efforts to send more soldiers to aid the 300. Liberties are taken with the reality of the battle, since it also draws from Miller's graphic novel.

That's more than enough though.

Woohoo- I'm going to see it later Saturday- im looking forward to it- I watched the history channel special on it a couple days ago- really interesting stuff - I always liked the story- even Samurai Jack did a story using the 300 - cept it was 301- because Samurai Jack was there-- yeeeeeah - Samurai Jack rocks...

Anywho - Good to hear it got good reviews from yall. I honestly hope the sex scene/s arent long- random sex scenes etc are an annoyance now - so what if they have sex? Im going to see a movie about 300 men fighting an epic battle against thousands - not sex. Its like they throw in random nudity and sex to "push the envelope" or just to increase the rating...

The movie was awesome as hell, definitely didn't stick to strait history but they did a great job of keeping you in the adrenaline rush. I will agree the random nudity and sex scenes were really unnecessary in this movie.

Frank Miller is a big fan of random sex, violence, and creepy disfigured people/monsters - not a healthy combination.

Other than that- the movie was amazing.

Well, I work at the theater, and we have been selling out almost every show. The later day shows always sell out, and the early shows nearly do. Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to see it. I worked 8 hours the day it came out, and I worked 11 hours today, so I haven't had any spare time. But next time I'm not working, I'm going to see it for sure.

Still haven't seen this movie...so I won't bother reading the posts just in case there are any spoilers in it...which there probably is. I'm hoping to see it this weekend...can't wait. :)

Well, spoilers are kind of a "duh", because this is a reinactment of the battle of Thermopolea. But that aside, I saw this the Wednesday before it came out (employee only showings ROCK), and again on that Sunday. Each time, I came out of it wanting to kill someone. You need to see this movie.

Gahh!!! I want to see this movie so badly, and yet there is only one theatre in my area and it charges $10 per ticket. Yes, that's a whole ten dollars for one lousy ticket. Just to sit in an old chair with your feet glued to the floor with gum 'cause it's never cleaned. So I have to wait 'til it comes out on DVD. Which will, of course, take forever!

Sigh... I hate my local movie theatre options.

Well...I've heard of the battle...but never really knew the exact facts...so this is pretty much going to be all new for me.
