Second reply! Woot!

Erhem. Poor Kieth, eventhough he's been out of the loop for years, they still expect him to live up to the rules. Such a hard life indeed. No wonder he ran.

I wonder what rank a Keiser is? I'd imagine it's pretty high... just under the generals, perhaps... but considering how young Keith left, that'd be highly impressive.

So that helps to explain why Keith's armor is different than a common soldier's.

Poor Keith. He never got to grow into an adult role with the Basitin, and now he's coming in being all rude and stuff.

I can understand where the old general guy is coming from, except for the anti-Keidren overtone.

And even the 'wise' general is really strong... he dented Keith's helmet!

I always thought Keiser was his family name or something. And I'd guess those guys are some kind of royal or elite guards, not the usual bunch of grunts. Anyway, being so unwelcome in your own homeland must be tough.

Yay! Finally some fighting!

Oh wait, nevermind, he just clonked him on the head.

Maybe this will erupt into an awesome free-for-all with the reawakened Trace and Eric turns out to be a secret ninja and Kat is actually an ubermage!

Or maybe not. Either one would work for me...

Didn't just dent the helmet that's a drop of blood rolling down on his face. He sure ain't welcome, talk about ouch! ... or that's about as warm the welcome can get out in the public. *for some reason imagines the wise general putting a kettle on when they enter his place*

Keiser certainly seems to be Keith's family name.

Sad as it is to say, its sort of a relief to see life acting more as I expected. But it makes me even more curious as to the relation between Keith and the Master General.

Remember Keith back in the day? I'll bet not all of that was from his own personal experience.

Anti-Keidran sentiment is probably remarkably common among the Basitin for a few reasons. One is that they're a proud race, convinced of their superiority (like elves, for instance). Another is that they resemble the Keidran, something that grates on their psyche, so they do whatever they can to separate themselves from those "animals." They have an incredibly restrained culture. It looks like the separation of the sexes didn't end up panning out, as was originally suggested for the Basitin, but they are still not the sort of culture where affection is displayed in public. Everything is organized and in its place.

---Update---
And also: Natani! Get over there and defend your man! Prove that you care by making the situation worse!

Poor Keith. I'm not too sure they'll be happy when they find out keidran are on board that ship.

Yeesh, that's pretty cold...hope to see the Master General reprimand the other General if he's capable of doing so, just leaves me wondering what'll happen next.

I doubt it'd happen due to the conflict it'd cause, but I'd pay to see Natani or one of the others break that cane off in his rear end.

I second that. He must pay for this! I'm thinking they assumed all the Keidran on the ship are slaves. And Eric can't have come here often because that 'brother' general says that human ships are a 'rare sight these days.'

Either Natani or the scarred General's going to do something next.

Even if Eric comes here 'relatively often', that would translate to only a couple times a year, which would still be 'a rare sight'.
