I just saw this movie today and I have to say, I really liked it.
It disturbed the mother a bit, but I thought it was a good movie.
However, I felt a lot of questions where left unanswered. Was it a book before a movie?

If I remember correctly, yes. And yes, it was a really great movie! I loved it and so did my brother and cousin. My cousin's girlfriend on the other hand didn't like it because it ends so suddenly among a few other minor reasons.

Sorry to bump this, but I saw this movie and though ti it actually kinda scarry how realistic it was. Especially as it got closer to the end.

The cinematography in the movie was astounding. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but the steady-cam work gave it feel very much like a documentry, which made the action scenes in particular very gritty and 'real'. Loved it. Reminded me of Half-Life 2 for some reason...
