Hmm, that was a conveinant conversation considering the chapter title.

The first time I got to post the comic thread, and got nothing to say. *Sigh*

Anyway, Interesting dialouge between the 2, is anyone getting one of those "i can just feel a dramatic sword dual in the future" feelings ?

Not that i want that to happen, but i can see Trace and Keith pointing their swords at one another, waiting for a call from the general from before to start, wind blowing leaves and what not all dramatically :(

It may get even more complicated. Natani has been told to only kill Trace if she must. What if she's forced to fight with Keith in order to prevent Trace being killed? I can see her inner struggle now!

Good point! I smell foreshadowing all over this.

But here's the problem: Which will Keith place first? His honor? or his friends?

Well, he said he'd place his honor first. He might not though. And what would Nat do? Who knows. Zen would say kill the man, but Nat might not want to, even though she still thinks she's a guy, but would maybe out herself. When the bleep is the secret gonna be revealed, dangit!

Why would Natani care if her scent were on her own clothes? Isn't that just gonna happen with some new clothes anyway?

I don't follow your stream of thought from "Nat might not want to" to "even though she still thinks she's a guy, but would maybe out herself." He would out himself to...prove to Trace that he doesn't want to hurt him? To defy orders? Help me out here.

:( Poor Natani. He's so desperate to keep his secret, well, secret...and all the fans are just calling for him to be outed!


Ah, Keith, how I love you. Always stubbornly loyal, even to a fault. Though, this does show that Keith is expecting some sort of trouble to arise from Trace's presence...?

Interesting......very interesting.....I sense an epic battle of ultimate proportions.....Natani's inner struggle........and something else.....OMG! My dinner's burning! *Runs off to the kitchen*

Nah; his/her secret has to remain a secret until the big scene when we learn of Flora's pregnancy. Trace will "know"that it couldn't be his, but must have been from a male keidran who was around the last time Flora was in heat. And the only such male was -- Natani!

Trace naturally gets insanely jealous, and alternates between wanting to kill Natani and wanting to just walk away from Flora. This immediately leads to a quandary for Keith, who wants to defend Natani but doesn't want to out her. It's finally settled when Natani shrugs and takes off her clothes in front of everyone. Hilarity ensues for everyone but Trace, who now has the problem that there was no male keidran around during Flora's last heat. And Flora is insisting that "There's been no one but you."

Then we'll all be going crazy guessing about plot twists that finally convince them that Trace is indeed the father. Lady Nora can read Flora's mind, and knows that she's telling the truth. But can even her magic convince Trace and keep them together? Stay tuned ...

Wow, you know, that makes more sense than just about anything else I've read. I hadn't even thought it through past Trace's initial shock!

I like how Keith is so laid back about it.

Okay, I'm talking Zen telling her to kill KEITH to protect TRACE, which she might out herself to justify not doing. Following yet?

You do realize that by the time Natani showed up, Flora was in her heat just barely right? I'm guessing it ended right after Trace met Nora for Flora to get pregnant seeing she's out of heat when entering the port town. Then again I don't know when it ended exactly, I thought Keith mentioned that she was out of heat before well 'It" happened so I'm still confused on how it's possible she got pregnant out of her biological cycle (It's probly been brought up before). Leaving the last choice for Trace to think would be the father would be Sythe, even though it's been a long time since last we've seen him.

Then again, Natani getting her pregnant than Trace sounds more logical to himself.
