I was hoping "Sudden Evolutions" would fuel my need for an RP in the TwoKinds world. But, since that seems to have fallen through, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Story:
You're walking through town, minding your own buisness, when you notice a bunch of people gathering around a Templar. He's standing on a box, yelling as loud as he can, and is repeatedly jabbing at a peice of paper. You decide to come closer to hear...

"... As I said before, this Keidran must be stopped! He has disguised himself and continues to walk among us! He could even be in this crowd right now!" The audience gasps in alarm. "I'm calling for every able bodied man to step forward to take on the hunt for this abomination! 70,000 gold pieces to the one who brings him in... dead or alive..."

You consider stepping forward... but suddenly, out of the corner of your eye, you notice a suspicious, cloaked man leave the group, headed out of town. You watch him go... and at the last second before he enters the forest... you see a striped white tail...

The races that are available are Human, Keidran, and Basitin. Obviously the Keidran and Basitin will not start immediately with the human players. Extra races are allowed if the backstory includes how they ended up in the TwoKinds universe or why nobody knew they existed.

As for the Abilities and Weaknesses, you have the option of simply naming an occupation or fighting style instead.

Occupations include:
Templar
Archer
Bounty Hunter (Basically a Fighter type, uses traps)
(any others you can think of that fits in with the TwoKinds Universe, must clear it with me though)

WARNING: If you choose to free-form it a bit and choose your own abilities and weaknesses, I may have to give you extra weaknesses in order to balance you out and prevent "God-modding". I recommend that you set your characters up to have the "potential" to gain certain powers at a later date. That way, your character will have more depth and won't ruin the story. I will choose when your "latent abilities" are unlocked.

Aww, crap! I took so long to write that it logged me out before I posted it! Sorry! :P

Here's my character (Who the Templar are hunting, of course...)

Name: Protan
Age: 19
Race: White Tiger Keidran
Fighting style: Templar

Weapon of Choice: Longsword

History: Little is known about this strange Keidran. What we do know is that a member of the Resistance stumbled across him at a young age. Oddly enough, this Keidran somehow displayed a gift with manipulating energy not much unlike the Grand Templar himself! Noting the creature's abilities the Templar should have killed him on the spot, yet he illegally trained him instead. Years after, the traitor was found and justly executed, unfortunately the blasphemy escaped after taking on several Templar at once. One was killed and two others were wounded. To this day his whereabouts are unknown. He obviously can't be as strong as the Grand Templar, yet the traitor's notes stated he does have the potential. While we don't know the extent of his training, still treat him as a high threat, and attack with the backing of large numbers. Don't expect him to just dissapear either, we Templar live longer than normal humans, so we suspect he has recieved a similar effect, lengthening his lifespan to at least 60 years, just shy of a normal human. 70,000 peices to the man who brings him to justice, dead or alive.

He wears a black jacket with a white sleeveless shirt underneath. He wears black pants and a special pair of leather boots with large sole inserts in order to accomidate his feet. He also has a traveling cloak with a large hood. The combination of the cloak and boots allows him to appear just human enough to pass through a town undetected.

Also, please try your best to use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation. It's really hard to RP when no-one can understand what the heck you're talking about. :P

On a side note: Is there any other information that I forgot?

Edit: Please make an effort to check back and post frequently. (Shoot for at least once a day. Not mandatory, but you should try.) Nothing's more frustrating than waiting around for someone to do something... like now for instance...

Backstory (Optional): Disgusted by the rampant killing and deaths in cities, Faust decided to live a secluded life in the woods.

Abilities: -Able to manipulate air to his advantage. (For example, guiding an arrow to hit it's mark, jumping higher or floating short distances)
-Berserk Rage [Latent Ability] (Hightened reflexes and strength)

Weaknesses: -Using his ability requires alot of energy, he'll need to rest a few minutes to recover.
-As pacisfist, he can't kill a living being unless truely necessary and when he does he goes into a somewhat reclusive depression.

Heya mind if I join? My character isn't the sort of guy to help yours out, unless the price is right, so I'll be one of the fellows chasing you.


Name(full):Jashobeam Shammeh Agee

Age:Uncertain, though he looks to be about a hundred and two

Occupation:Herbalist/alchemist/traveling magician

Physical appearance: Dressed in rags that used to be red robes, covered in patches and pockets, held together with a hemp rope for a belt, which has an unsheathed sword dangling from it. The robes have a hood which he keeps over head at all times, with the lower half of his weathered face covered by a ratty red scarf. He has a very hunched over disposition and a stuffed rucksack slung across his bent back at all times. A heavy limp in one leg is evident, so he supports himself with his staff, being very twisted and bent, it resembles his sole. His wrists and forearms look like they could snap without a moments notice, and what skin you can see is cracked and leathery, resembling in no small amount the flesh of a mummy.

Strengths:Well versed in herbology and alchemy, he is a practioner of a far older school of magic then used by the Templars, one that is far more powerful but exceddingly raw. He draws his energy from the life force that occurs naturally in elements around him, such as the earth, the trees. the sky, a body of water, or the heat from a fire. When there is no abundent life force, or when he needs extra power, he uses a bit of his own spirit, which has been keeping him in a constant state of illness for a very long time now.

When cast these magical spells manifest themselves as raw energy, generally producing extreme amounts of heat, force, and light, with very little form or finesse. The practioners of this lore of old-school magic have all but died out, due to the difficulty of controlling the spells once they are cast and the rarity of finding someone with an inate talent for communicating with the elements. It is not uncommon thing for the spell to explode in the magicians face if total focus is not kept.

Jashobeam has something for every situation, but with all those pockets has a hard time finding it in a hurry. A veteran of many battles and adventures in his long life span, he know's how to handle himself well in any situation, and is virtually fearless, if a bit grumpy.

Weaknesses:While not as physically frail as he leads people to believe he's not exactly a hand-to-hand specialist. His experiance and instincts help keep him alive in a close combat situation but he doesn't have the stamina or speed to keep up with a hardened warrior. He is not exactly the fastest person on the face of the earth, with a heavy limp and twisted physique he moves quite lethargically unless there is an immediate threat nearby. Doesn't have any kind of respect for authority, can be bought if the price is right, speaks in a wierd accent and known to drink heavily when the oppurtunity presents itself.

Additional Notes: Doesn't really care about Kiedrans, thinking that they are best just left alone, but most certainly cares about money, and 70k is nothing to snear at, even for him. He is perfectly willing to kill any other hunter going after the prize, just to make sure he's the one that gets the reward. He never was any good at sharing.

Weapon of Choice: a sword

Backstory (Optional): young warrior who is never taken seriously... Has no fighting skills, but lots of determination. Left his town to become a warrior, and prove his doubters wrong.

Abilities: a pretty decent tracker.....but that's about it. Specialized in tracking and catching small animals for food... can't kill it, though. Lucky when it comes to blocking slashes.

Weaknesses: A bit of a coward when faced with own mortality. usually trips when running away. always searching for love.

Appearance: 4' 6" tall, about 75 lbs. wears khaki colored shorts with a white tanktop...stained with dirt. A red baseball-style cap on his head, tilted over an ear.
(if i could draw, i would try to make a rough sketch...i appreciate anyone who can give it a try.....i'll also attempt it myself.)

umm....anything else you wanna know, just ask...i guess... :D

Great, Kitsune! I'm sorry, but I can't approve you just yet. All you need to add is a backstory of how she was cursed with vampurism. Other than that, it's just fine. I can't wait to see what you write.

I'd like to have at least one more player before we start, preferredly someone who'll end up in the hunting party.

I've also invited a couple others to join, Snow and Zilvra. Once they've posted their characters as well, I'll determine everyone's starting points, as well as any special posting rules we may need. Once that's done we'll begin.

Hey this looks good, here's my guy

Race-Basitin
Age-18

Weapon of Choice-Naginata spear, hidden swords in sleeves and some throwing weapons

Abilities-Illusions to trick enemies and also some dark magic, very agile

Weaknesses-never wears armor, low defense against light magic, goes ga-ga for pretty girls

Occupation-Tries to make his living as a bounty hunter, but ends up more on the lines of an assassin

Appearance-(sorry, no pic) Kelox is a run of the mill Basitin, about five foot nine and brown fur. But he has black markings on his face that look like burns, but are actually magic runes

Backstory (Optional): Nothing is told of his kind. All locked away, prehaps in cabinates, a drawer, or an old library record lost in time. In ages past were the Masks were not as active, when Keidran and Humans bred. Before the times when the wars broke up, untold offspring from the unholy relationships of human and beast. A species of unique beings, each with their own attributes. Some that were called "Hybrids", others cursed with uncontroled bodily changes during certain conditions of the world around them. A well kept secret of a civilization that was to be extinct, but there is always a way for something to survive. A creature will do anything it can to exist, and will go to any extent to see that anything that disagrees, perishes like its kin once did.

Abilities: Mastered in the ways of martial arts.

Weaknesses: Expells energy rapidly. When morphed, still able to be taken down by standard weapons.

Appearance: A decently tall figure, standing at around 6'2". Wearing large black leather boots, metal plating surrounding the tip and heal of the cumbersome footware, some baggy white pants covering the rest of the shoe. The pants were slightly tattered and made of a canvas material, almost like what a Gi would be made of. Blood stains splattered over it darkened the pure material, of who's blood it is, would not be a wise inquiry. Two large strange weapons hung in leather straps along his back side, a long wooden stick with a handle that stuck out one side, each having the dark iron wood patterens, drenched in stains of blood. Black fingerless tattered gloves covered his hands, the top of his hand and forarm having some sort of padding under the gloves, the material running up to his elbow. His muscular chest easily shown off as he wore no under shirt. Scars lined his curves, signs of feirce battles and life threatening gashes, sealed over with the jagged tissue from mistreatment of the wounds. A damaged cloth jacket opened up, lay across his shoulders, waving around from any of his movements, muscular arms barely fit through the ripped sleeves of the jacket. Patches, symbols were pinned to it all over, each one drenched in blood, or at least with some light stains of it. The design was easily reconized as one that the Templar would wear. Why he has such an obescene and activist pattern displayed? Prehaps trophies, enemies, a pasttime. Long flowing purple hair rested across his face and slightly down his back, light and smooth. No trace of blood lay in the elegant strands of hair, nor anywhere on his skin. His eyes are of an eerie crimson color, not a common feature of your local towns person or traveler. No one really knows anything of the stranger. Towns never speak of such a character roaming around. At least none that exist anymore.
