A general discussion about all things to do 47's operations, weapons preferences and funny stuff.
Has any one ever got a 'Silent Assassin' on the second Japan level of Hitman 2 the 'Hidden Valley'?

I'd have been lucky to get less than 40 kills in any mission

although in my favorite level, the second level of blood money, i can get away with killing about less than 7 people

kill one normal guard, then head away were i kill a civilian and two vip guards, then maybe another civilian if i haven't cleaned up yet...

silently kill my main target, with perhaps a hammer
after that i head down to the hidden drug lab and set a mine at the secret enterance

when the second target and his 2nd and command show up, boom....
then i can leave with no alarms being sounded, until of course i blow the two up...

other not so sucessful tries involved doing very well...
but was caught by a civilian or guard, which then has to make me murder EVERY liveing thing on the map, with low chance of survival

mostly my 47 didnt want to go silently for the most part
If someone catches me, I do not stop till i can hide till the heat dies down
favorite weapon: silverballers/silenced to the custom sniper rifle you get

the mission that you must meet a gang leader who get his hands on a large bomb

once cops move in i was able to take down one of them and make my way onto the boat, all the guards had been cleaned out by the friendly interpol. Busted into the cabin of the ship and shot the leader and his bodyguard, the only surviviors who were able to save them selves by useing the bomb, the leader has the trigger. I was stupid and shot him but picked up the trigger before the cops could she what happened. after picking up a nice bull and waltzed out of the place, all cops had thier guns on me, but I had the trigger, untouchable...

more of my blood money explots later

I Usually carry a Silenced 9mm Pistol (M92F, ammo is plentiful and is powerful enough for the job at hand) or the .22(not powerful but can be snuck past metal detectors and guards), an SMG (MP5 is my favourite, just in case the proverbial does hit the fan), A Magnum (Desert Eagle more often than not, same reason as MP5), A knife of some description (Combat Knife in Hitman 2, simpler and faster than Fibre Wire and syringe), And the custom Walther WA2000 Sniper Rifle for ranged work. My general rating is 'Professional' but complete anilation works for me as well, the fully customised M4A1 is the best. Best level 'Tubeway Torpedo' from Hitman 2 or the Vegas level from 'Blood Money'.

The vegas level....
yah Very large shoot out in the enterance, fighing the near unstopable stream of security. making my way to the upper floors, i found it more safe and security was very loose, i'd make my way to the security office there and quietly kill the guards within

after getting in one room, i hopped around outside like a stunt double
Every single person i saw though took a dirtnap
took me a while to finish it, but after a while i did...

Loved the steamboat mission
Put a mine in the cake:P
Had to kill a lot of people though...

As for the wedding, i pissed off the guards, and had to shoot my way to an outhouse, holed up thee shooting everything that stepped trought the door

best thing, i had killed my targets that way.
when i showed up at the party I had killed a few guest and had a present, put a mine in it and put it on the dancefloor, great distraction...

my favorite tactic is putting a mine in a storage device
Really clears out an area, and puts no real heat on you

mine in a suitcase at the white house, put through a security checkpoint during a tourist group passing by, dont even need to explain past that

i can clear the opera house level from blood money in less than 2 minutes. its very simple, you just put a mine in the tool box and stick it on the door with the two body guards. i run into the opera room and shoot the performer with my fully upgraded silver ballers (my favorite weapon, they can get anything done since it has a scope and machine gun thing). then i trigger the mine while running out the opera house. my best time was under a minute.

The Wedding is the simplest hit to get 'Silent Assassin' on, from the start enter the double doors ahead, turn right, then left into a room with a window dump the rifle case for the moment, when the guard enters the room where you are anzatise him (switch off lights first though) unpack the rifle, take aim through the window, aim bellow the muzzle flash through the bush, bang! target 1 eliminated, pack up the rifle, go to the dance floor area the guards will be to busy dealing with the corpse, face the way you came there is a door/opening to your right in this room is a drunk guest steal his invitation waltz in through the front door, make your way to the rear of the building thought the ball room, equip your AMT silverballer and shoot fatso when he goes to visit the grave there are no guards in the area while he is walking about, holster the pistol and calmly walk back to your boat, job done!
This is the only time in Blood Money that I ever used the WA2000 Rifle in anger
The Silverballer is versatile when upgraded, but the auto fire mod make it impossible to hit anything more than 10ft away and burns the ammo up in just over a second, not great for assassin runs, but fun for chaos causing runs.
I would love to see a level set in a film studio, you could have great fun in the props and costume dept.

Hm, I should reinstall Hitman 2 on my comp. That was an awesome game... no matter how much I sucked at it...
I thank you for reminding me of this game.
I shall post if I get any good hits.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is the best Hitman game ever! it have a good story, decent controls, good weapons, and a excellent concept!
Contracts was a bit of a stop gap measure and a test bed for new features
Blood Money is better than Hitman 2 in all respects, except story, I think it is slightly weaker there.
The next one should allow you to buy/store costumes from completed missions and buy fake ID before the mission (expensive though, don't want to take the fun out).
