I Got SOCOM I & II, might get III if funds allow, never played it online due to the fact Broadband has yet to reach the wet, windswept, and dull part of Wales where I Live. And I don't think I would be To Popular if I hijacked the Uni's phone line to play.
Great Game though, people attack the one player mode way to much, weapons of choice Stoner SR-25 7.62mm x 51mm NATO Sniper Rifle with silencer, allows sniping and is good at CQB if needed, and FN Hertzal Five-seveN 5.7mm x 28mm FN Pistol (Yes, I checked this is how FN spell it).
I wish you could choses the unit you can play as (SEALs rock, but not as much as 22nd Regiment SAS, In my noteably biast opinion).

hopefully my broadband issue will be sorted by the time I can afford them, On a completely unrelated note does anyone know if Konami's released, canned, or just forgot about the PS2 port of there SAS FPS 'The Regement', it appeared in OPSM2 months and months ago, and then disapeared without trace, as far as I can tell there has been no offical statement about it (or that may be me being dense)?
Oh, by the way whats your prefered loadout? and do you lead your team from the front or comand they from the rear? I lead the team from the front, more kills!

I'm not sure if their going to sneak that game out or just forget about it

and I lead my team from all sides, using ambushes to defeat the enemies quickly (almost every area in career mode is assessable from two ways so its just a matter of were they are when you give the voice command "Fire team Attack to cross hairs"

A pincer movement? nice tactic. When things go loud for me, all hell breaks loose, but within 5-6min all the X-rays are dead and me and the team are long gone. Speed, Aggression, Surprise. Do you have any trouble with the software not understanding some of your voice commands? Mine doesn’t like 'Zulu' for some reason. :?

Not really Socom 3 did a good job with voice reconiction, I suggest trying to pronounce the Z a bit louder cause its probably the focal point for recognizing that word

Yes, that’s what I have to do to get it to work, but it is by far the best voice recognition system I have ever used, and some of the best AI as well. the only better AI (actually comparable) I have found is in the Rainbow Six series and SWAT 3 Elite Edition (god this one is complicated, about 100 more things pop up to do ever second, a game which you definitely need to be switched on for).
Just out of curiosity do you use the SOCOM Official Headset or the standard PS2 USB Headset? For me the SOCOM Headset works much better, Due to a mix up when I purchased them I ended up with both sets.

I like the PS2's version of the headset alot more cause it is alot more comfortable then the other one plus has a volume control on it for those pesky loud voice crackers online lol

I hear that some of the clans are just vicious, my favourite mission is from SOCOM I, the second mission of the game, the one set in that abandoned dredge in Alaska. The USP is a great weapon when silenced, but I prefer the FN Hertzal Five-seveN, just because it looks cooler.
