Who's your favorite writer? Stephen King? J.K. Rowling? Someone else?

My personal favorite would have to be Roger Zelazny. His writing style is casual and confident, witty and matter-of-fact. Simply awesome.

Terry Prattchett

I really admire his incredible use of symbolism and metaphors. I could go on and on and on, but I won't, as you will all tell me to shut up :P

Hm... I have quite a few, Terry Brooks, Rand and Robyn Miller, Anne Rice. Those are just a few of the writers I like.
And not counting many fan fic writers posting their stories on the net.

If this guy continues like this he'll manage to create a world as detailed as Tolkien managed to do.

My fav writer is Clive Cussler. Good books even if the storyline are sometimes a little wacky. And yes he did have a good reason to sue Hollywood over 'Sahara'. It's actually very little like the book.
