Which weapon would be best for Yue?

Well, i have being a little bussy, but i managed to make a sketch of Yue, the hero of my comic, hope you like it!!

by the way, he is holding a weapon, but i havent thought of which weapon he could wield!, any ideas??, pick the best one you would like!

Well the way he looks at 14 years old, I'd say a sword, whether it be longsword or katana. The way he looks at 17, I'd say martial arts, so gauntlets, or possible a bo or staff. If you want say...continuity between the two...maybe say a katana or bo. Just my opinion. :)

I did submit my vote as gauntlets though because if that's what he looked like at 17, I'd give him a hand to hand fighting style, thus utilizing the gauntlets.

I say either a bamboo staff, a Quarter stave (English staff, like in Robin Hood) or collapsable Naginata would be good. Then again, a Bavarian battle adz would look good, too.

On another note, I like the character design, mainly the one on the right. However, I gotta ask - does he have a mullet, or just an oddly-drawn bandana? If it's the latter, you should try to make it look less like a mullet.
