My computer cant run the irc chat and i down;eaded a client but that didnt help wat do i need to be able to use the chat.

Though this is a topic that belongs in the tech board, I'll do my best to aid you here.

You need to describe the problem that happens right after you double click the mIRC icon. Until then, I have no idea what you are doing wrong, and can do nothing for you.

you can be kewl like me and not use IRC.

the same thing is happin to me i use Firefox, 8)

Perhaps we could better help you if you tell us why it won't work and what client you downloaded.

i searched irc client in google and downloaded the first thing it came up with

I'm going to assume you're having difficulty with the Java chat, and that you downloaded a standalone IRC client but couldn't figure out how to set it up.
