Ever read or watch any of the Berserk manga/anime? Well long before I even read it I loved dark knights. But the pictures I've seen in the Berserk manga had boggled me. It inspired me to draw my own. It's pretty rough and sketchy but that's just how I draw in paint, I don't really care to clean up anything with a mouse.

you are no black swordsman! You need a sword 3 times bigger than that to be a blackswordsman! And you have to live though a God Hand summoning... oh oh! and you have to be born from a corpse! Good luck with that :P

Keep working on the art- sometimes the sketchy work looks cool-- other times it looks weak-- you have a bit of both in this--- so work more! Train hard! Go DBZ on those art skills! :P

Yeah, that actually looks pretty good considering how random the linework is :)

I'll make sure to ask Godo to make another Dragon Slayer when I see him around then. XD

As for the corpse thing it's too late O_o. And the god hand thing hmm.. to sell out my loved one and friends to accomplish a "dream"? I think I'll avoid consulting the "Idea" for some time now. XD

I took Fox's advice. It was TOO sketchy and it did make it look weak and throw together. Which it was, 5 minutes worth anyway. But I just went over it and shaded and cleaned it up more, so tell me what you think. And yes it still looks sketchy, which it's supposed to, I like it that way. And besides, I'm lazy, but I could do what other artists do and spend the same 5 minutes in photoshop to make it look 20x better, I prefer not to simply because I don't have photoshop or care to learn it XD

From what I know photoshop isnt the magical tool that makes sketchy drawings into clean lineart ;P.

Nice drawing though, but the sword's a bit small.

What I meant with the photoshop though is they draw the outline, which is typically clean lineart. But they color it or add some kind of effects to it that photoshop offers, then the ratings suddenly fly up. It's a bit annoying how that process would take about 5 minutes worth of clicking when you see another person use colored pencil in beautiful shades, spend about 3 hours drawing it, and get less recognition.

Me personally I don't do color, I never was good at it and I can't stand to put too much effort into any hobby. Maybe someday I'll work with photoshop, but you probably see my point now. But yeah, no way any program could change the sketchyness except for me actually taking my time and not being wreckless and hastey XD

The methods might be different, but the outcome is still based on knowledge and skill. Give a trained person with skill a set of good pencils, and give a noob a computer with photoshop, and I guarentee you'll see a difference.

I like the style. Sketchy/black and white is my favorite, never tried it on the comp though. It looks great for paint. Must've taken you forever.

Give or take 10 minutes in total. You'd be surprised but sketch drawing is rather easy, the longest process is just cleaning it up and defining the details. As for making the outline it's fast and simple, which I like because my imagination races and I can't keep an image in my head on standstill if you know what I mean. It's just the style I like, it's good at capturing the quick moments in my mind.

OOoooo. If it takes you ten minutes then you should totally make tonnes of em. My sketches take pretty much the same amount of time andd I average 2 pages a day, whatever the actual images may be it's always good to practice. Keep it up and work hard everyday.
