Alright, I have a pretty good ammount of knowledge about html. I've been working with it for a pretty long time, so I'm pretty familiar with it. However, this is something I just can't figure out. I can't get the comic frame to refresh when someone loads the page.

Here's the things I've tried:

- meta refresh. I tried this first, and soon realized it refreshed every-so-often, not right when it loads. This is a problem.

- meta refresh to another page. I tried this, but apparently firefox and other browsers still cache the page it redirects to, and thus still shows the old comic (this is why a new comic shows up for a second, then goes away.)

- refresh button. I had a button that linked to the same page over the same frame. This was a good idea, however, the cache overpowers it still. Thus, the page just stays the same.

I'm not really sure what else to do. If there is some other code, maybe in XML or... javascript, whatever, please let me know. You'll be helping everyone out.

There might be a way to get javascript to clear the cache. I'll look it up for ya. =D Edit: Nope. It appears there is no way for javascript to clear the cache. Sorry. 8(

Tom, I have a simple fix that I use whenever the cache does not shoe the new comic.

The following link leads you to post I made that contains several remedies for your problem.

http://2kinds.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=31350#31350

In the post, you should see a link for "Internet explorer view". That is a tool that allows you to right click and view a page in IE. Viewing www.2kinds.com in IE has never failed to show me the latest comic.

Other users should also download the "Page update checker", as it will alert you when a new comic is posted.

HAHAHA! I've figured out a way to make the comic show up! I've added this code:

<META HTTP-EQUIV="expires" CONTENT="Wed, 19 Feb 2003 08:00:00 GMT">

This will make the page always seem expired to the browser, and thus the brower wont cache the page! I'm SURE this is going to work.
