Is Trace the only living member of the Legacy family? I'm assuming (from the name's meaning, and connotation of length), that Legacy is a very old and hallowed family line. Maybe in centuries past, his ancestors were dukes and owners of castles and whatnot, but through wars and such, their numbers have died down, so that Trace is the only surviving member of his line.

Or maybe Legacy is the "Smith" of TwoKinds. :oops:

What is the name of the planet that (most of) TwoKinds takes place on? Sorry if it has been mentioned already.

Trace actually does have some living relatives. I can't really say who they are at the moment, though. ^_^ What I can tell you is that Trace's parents were relatively poor, and he originally grew up in a small town. His frustration with his poor life would eventually fuel his ambitions for power. His inherent natural ability to use magic, however, can lead one to believe his family was important at one point in time.
