First, I opened a new thread cause I can't stand the name of my old one anymore. >_<
However, I'll submit my art from now on in this thread. ^^

Finally got the time to draw something again and submit it.
Yeah, I know it's poorly colored but I'm a n00b in coloring with PS. Will update it later maybe.

Anyway, here's my dragon ^^

nice dragon. But you really need to give it shading. (I have no idea how to do that, as I color everything by hand with colored pencils! Man, is it hard...)

Guess I'll just go and get some tutorials now... am I the only one who thinks that shading is a pretty hard job?

Edit: Increased shading... http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a2/bla ... d_web3.jpg

No, I get frickin' hand cramps from shading with colored pencils... so evil, but so purdy...

Shading hard? HA! It not tht hard-- you just have to practice it-- use the PAINT BRUSH ever so often! Use the eraser- use the SMUDGE TOOL!!! helps ya get those hard drop offs and make the softer areas lighter!

Understanding how light works helps with the shading aspect of things. It's always easy to test how light bends on yourself also. Shading's not so much hard as it is tedious because it takes time to make it look right. But in the end, I think the final product is worth the time spent :)

Was bored again... result: another dragon. Who would've guessed? xD
He's supposed to hunt something on the ground. Be nice or he may be targeting you... :P

Drawing: 10-15 min
Trying to shade: --- >_< too long 4 sure

Well, he does look like he's targeting or at least looking at something, but with that background, he'd be somewhat darker because the moon (which is the main light source) is behind him. Also, generally because the wings are normally thinner they would appear somewhat lighter/translucent. Overall I like it though. :)

And yet another pic:

I already mentioned that I don't like shading?

Did you do that in photoshop? And did you use the layer effects to make a shadow? o.O
