Im getting into Game Design so I might try my hand at it....(makes a quick 2D sprite version of TwoKinds) lols. Im going to master in Computer Science at a university in my city, :( they only have one class tho for game design but it might be able to teach me a thing or 2 other than 2d sprites...

p.s.
TwoKinds does not have to be a full out 3D blu-ray game for the PS3. It can be a simple game, artwork made in paint, sound from the web or mic.

SO stop saying 1:in google,, its much smaller than that.

That's right, as long as it has a novelty it would turn out to be a great game.

Games are rated on their expectations not their graphics.
Just look at Spore, great concept, but the graphics are toonish. Yet it still rated 90%+.

People will like Farcry 2 and LBP for different reasons. I will be stating the obvious, but Farcry 2 will be rated on the stuff it has showcased compared to the final product, fire propagation, map editor similar to crysis, and open world.

LBP however will be rated on it's user content and sharing levels. It will also be rated on the co-operative work and ingenuity possible from the tools provided.

So you see, it's not about the quality, but the novelty.

Now I'm ranting. So i'll stop.

I don't know where you've been in the past six or seven years, but gameplay and the like take a backseat to graphics nowadays. I know people who, despite reading great reviews about games, will refuse to play them because 'the graphics suck' and there are plenty more out there. Just look at the Halo crowd.

Hey know, lets not generalize Halo fans. I play and I could give to [censored] about video game graphics, so long as I can tell what's going on.

Meh. I guess people will appreciate all the different things, but I say, judge a game by its gameplay, since that's what it's all about. Games by Introversion (Darwinia, Uplink, and Defcon) lacked good graphics --in fact, Uplink almost didn't have any-- but they're all good games.

What would you want to plat more?

a)3D blu-ray game with top of the line gfx but gameplay is lacking and story has holes in it, type of game you might play one time.

b)3D game(gfx as good as some of the first ps2 games) kinda nice gameplay and good story, one or two go's at it till you are tired.

b)Basic gfx game with very good gameplay and very strong story that makes you want to play it again and again.

For me its about gameplay since I love Ratchet and Clank future. It has very good gfx and with a good storyline. The gameplay is very good too.

I'm making a mod, MoD. (woah, alliteration.)
It's going to be a mod of Dwarf Fortress. A very popular RTS with ASCII graphics. I will be making the mod have all the things of regular Twokinds, including the humans slaving the Keidran. (because it's possible, not because I'm evil.) I will need a tile-set for it to be playable, so people can actually distinguish Keidran from humans.

Any takers?

Nay, but now I have an almost uncontrollable urge to request someone crossovers Twokinds with Boatmurdered. Preferably within trading distance of any of the race's capital cities.

Hmmm, You sir propagate a good plan...

I may make an adventurer by the name of 'Trace' Legacy, Templar and 'Flora' (error). Too bad there's no magic, so then I could actually re-enact the events IN Dwarf Fortress! AND FILM IT! And, with a hopeful bit of luck, write out the script of Twokinds to go along with it.

(Dragons.. YIPPEE!)

So you're gonna go find a dragon while playing as Trace or someone, and than get eaten.
That would be cool dawg

I'm no good with computer games. I'll admit that flat out. But pen and paper RPGs? I know a few things. So I'm going to scour the archives for information, and stat out Basitin and Keidran (multiple varieties) for d20 open source. I'll take a crack at the magic, too, but I promise nothing on that.
