Ok let me explain something so yall can stop with the "i dont see a new comic" stuff. Notice how if the comic is bigger than usual - like with the guest comic by all- a scroll bar apears on the side of the comic box. Thats because it is working like a frame. The comic is shown on a different page through that window. Problem is- most browsers- even Safari, only refresh the main page and not the framed ones. I have yet to find a solution to this problem other than the usual deleting of the cache OR by veiwing the current image and changing the date to the current day.
(explination) The reason why it shows the old one is because your site is looking at the main page- and refreashing the main page- not the page that actually has the comic on it ( found here
http://2kinds.com/todayscomic.htm ) it looks at your cache and sees a file called 2kinds.todayscomic.htm - or something simular and brings it up- that files HTML says to display image 20050829.jpg instead of 20050831.jpg. That is why it doesnt seem to be up and why sometimes forcing the refreash doesnt work. (Same goes for the Blog- that also doesnt update unless you force it to)
If you use a different computer-- or a different browser often it will work- but the reason it does is - a different computer doesnt have the old file in the cache to look at- and another browser looks at a different cache that is also lacking the old file.
If anyone knows an automatic fix for this please post it in the FAQ section with the question and answer- im sure it will be most helpful.
