Haruhi Suzumiya from the popular anime "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". Yeah, it's not that great. I just wanted to post some of my crap up here because, honestly, Deviantart members don't seem to know what critique is. And unless you draw a butt-load of yaoi fan-service from Naruto, you don't fit in much ...

Not that I dislike yaoi ... -points to signature- ... but I don't like nonsensical pairings. /:

Forgot strips and tufts of hair because I had no reference at the time, but I'm sure that doesn't completely ruin the piece. I fixed it on my in real life picture, but I was too lazy to plug the scanner back in and figure out why it hates me so much to replace this picture.

So yeah.

I'll post more when I make a half-way decent picture again, as my drawing abilities has crashed completely. And everything I draw is unfinished. [Probably because I'm frustrating myself by attempting to compete with my friend, making it so everything I draw has to be up-to-scale with her or else it's horrible. Hope I snap out of it ...]

As a side note, I'm fourteen years old. And these are at least three months old each.

Hey, in all honesty, you've got some very solid art skills. You may want to practice a bit on facial features, but for your sketches, I was most surprised at the quality of your characters' hands. A lot of the time that's the last thing you usually see being improved upon. Yours look very real.

I hadn't expected a reply so soon. :P

I have plenty of trouble with hands, though. It's the most dreaded part of my artwork, and I typically leave them for last. I can do some hand positions better than others. It's hard for me to draw things like peace signs, for example, and hands resting on the face give me a lot of trouble, also.

I agree that the face could be improved, but I'm no artist. I like your creations ^^ . The sign on the shirt of Suzumiya I can't recall.
Flora looks good, gives me the "Oh" stunned idea ^_^.

One thing to improve upon that I can spot. Leg placement. and shape.
