Cheesecake is DELICIOUS! How can you turn down it's rich-dry flavor and delectableness?

I can turn it down by acknowledging that it is one of the most dense and cholesterol/fat saturated desserts known to man. Proportionately it's almost as bad as eating raw pig fat.

I GUARANTEE mine is better, for I have discovered the secret to making the perfect pot of ramen! (...please be my first friends...)

Oh, well, I never boil it, i just nuke it. It doesn't matter how good it is, I'm not waiting more than 5 minutes for packaged noodles.

So, yeah, that right there ensures that yours is better then mine. But, mine's still bigger. And it has more power. It gets things done in half the time.

I'm talking about my microwave oven. I forbid any "micro" jokes.

Mines done in 1.5 minutes, every time, without fail.

Mah noodles better than yours |D

I just tried to microwave clam chowder. The can said 2-4 minutes on high. So I did just that.

The thing started bubbling over after 70 seconds... chowder all over the microwave... x_x

My friend and I once made amazing red velvet cake from scratch, but we made it blue velvet cake instead in honor of Rowen Hashiba's birthday, from Ronin Warriors/Saumrai Troopers.

I made the best sandwich today at work.
So, for my 15-minute break, I go around and grab all the half-servings that are left (because people can get half sandwiches but then you have a half serving of meat or cheese if they get those and they just sit around until the next half sandwich and are really annoying when they're there for forever) and make something from them. Today there was a half baguette, half turkey, and half swiss. So I put hummus and chipotle spread on the baguette, then the turkey, then some red onions and some tomato, then covered the onion and tomato with the swiss cheese and toasted it. Then when it came out, I put sprouts on. It was very, very delicious.

I love cooking, but simply don't have the budget right now for the good, fresh ingredients ^^; Lots of ramen and Pasta Roni and sandwiches with pre-sliced meat. :(

I shove random items in tin foil covered pans, toss them in the oven at 350, and serve supper approximately an hour later (or when my nose tells me its done, whichever comes first).

They usually come out quite nice.

And you call this cooking.

But anyway, it's the same with me. I shove random slices of food into my wok, which will inevitably include celery.

And 5 minutes later, this comes out.

(Ooooo...kay, where did the celery go?)

wynni, can i join you for dinner? That just looks too good....

On another note, interesting idea that seams to have worked out well. I was making eggdrop soup and for no real reason grabbed a pack of ramen and threw it in there with it. then added some shrimp. It seems like it came out pretty well for one of my impromptu mix's...

I made Easy-Mac today.
I can't make much outside of microwavables, but I was flipping through my Japanese book the other day and saw a recipe for Oyako Donburi, so I really want to give that a shot =3

One of the more amazing bits of trivia I've learned is from Gene Wolfe, who in the process of (VERY extensively) researching "Soldier of the Mist", his story about ancient Greece, he discovered that cheesecake was THE thing if you were having a party back then. There was quite a bit of competition to see who could do the best one. Gosh, my cheesecake recipe may be three thousand years old :-)

Anyway, cheesecake turns out to be amazingly easy to make, and just FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC to eat.

But you knew that already.
