I've alwyas loved to draw draw stuff.
In the beginning it were mostly stickmen and simple figuresn but I filled page after page with those.
I've stoppped drawing when I was refused to go to art school, wasn't even allowed to take those private lessons in the weekends.(thanks, dad)
I alwyas kept drawing, but more as a hobby and not very often.
about ayear ago I tried drawing human shapes and forms, using guides and tutorials all around the web.
This didn't work out either as they jumped steps too fast and I couldn't follow.
Yesterday, I tried something else....something new.

Even though it's filled with flaws and incorrect proprtions,it was fun drawing the....things....whatever you'd call it.

nr.1
nr.2
nr.3
nr.4

Comments on how to improve are very appriciated.
I go with lizards as they seem easier then a more humanoid form.

O.o WOW!

Fantasy characters are perfect because the proportions do not have to be human like, you are doing great. You would be realy good artist if u went to art school too.
Why i got so exited? Because i love dragons and lizard like stuff :)

You are pure evil sometimes... hope you know that!!!

Nha, I think I like it cause of the fighting scene. You can really good imagine how the fight will going on. And I also like the style of the legs from the attacking guy. It's easy to see that he's in motion atm.

those are really good. It'd always better to teach yourself then to try to have someone else make your style. They are all really good, and I really like the last one. It's an almost perfect futuristic version of one of my characters, R'eikone. As for drawing lizards, it's nice to see anthropomorphic lizards when everyone else is anthropomorphizing cats and rabbits and other mammals. (No offense to Tom, of course!)

*Beats up Grunge*
Everything has to have good proportions human or not! Every creature- even fantasy creatures have to have proportions correctly or else it looks crummy-- even ooze monsters have proportions! Dragons get their proportions from real lizards- combined with some human characteristics or Apes for giving their arms and hands the ability to hold things- the wings are simply from bats or even use a birds wing proportion for wing span size- only time you break proportion when theres a real reason for it-- mutations- like giant feet, style-- kingdom hears big feet and hands- or creatures like undead stitched togeather-- like a huge arm on a little body--- even then proportions are important and should never be ignored... else you get yelled at and lectured again!

I couldn't agree more, Sage. I don't pay too much attention to proportion on my own draws (legs are usually too long) but it still know how to make the head the right size, the shoulders broad enough, etc

God no, I keep messing up humans.
As said, I'll try to draw a decent lizard before even thinking about trying to draw a human. ( leg- feet / hands / head - face are my problem area's...mostly everything)

was bored at work, and had nothing to do ( no work and gettin' payed.. woohoo !) so I've been drawing a bit.

Yes, AGAIN, it's a lizard.

nr.6
nr.6's toy

I think I'll throw him in that one battle rpg.

Lazy b astard! :P
nr.6: The way he holds the left sword looks kinda strange.
Also something with the legs seems wrong to me...
nr.6's toy: Looks good so far. A lil bit more detail would've been nice.
