Ah, Earth.
Image
Thank you, magic picture-adding machine.
The supernatural exists, in rather large quantities, actually. It’s just somewhat good at hiding. Well, the occasional thing gets through, but most people are more than willing to accept a cushy job, nice pay, and various other bribes. Then, of course, there are those who just won’t accept bribes. They get jobs.

Specifically, they got jobs covering up all the various supernatural stuff, helping train creatures to avoid detection, etc, etc. The Organization that they work for is split into five sections-one for teaching creatures to hide, one for negotiations between groups and spying, one for R&D, one for covering up occurances, and one for killing stuff. Members are expected to specialize in more than one category.

Some notes on the world:
1. Angels and demons have a peace treaty that outlaws the use of their powers on the mortal plane. This does not extend to their empowered followers, their children, people changed by magic, or their standard followers. And despite the math, a demon and a human makes…another demon. It takes generations to get to 50% human.
2. Different vampires, Werewolves, Dragons, Succubi (Since I know someone is going to pick that), and other common mythological creatures are arranged into groups based on what rules they follow and what authors popularized it. (So, the most common vampires are Stoker, Rice, and Whedon.) Vampires have bloodlines, werewolves have clans, dragons have flights, and succubi have aeries.
3. Yes, some humans have magical powers.
I have a plot, it's fairly long and generic, and involves beating the snot out of aliens and committing genocide. OR you could come up with ideas, improvise, and make suggestions. Some side plots so far involve clearing an ancient ruins of enemies, and helping a little girl find her big brother. Or else.

Combat uses the Wushu system, (rules found HERE)

Le character sheet
Code:
[b]Name:[/b]
[b]Age:[/b]
[b]Race:[/b](Anything works. Really, [i]anything[/i].)
[b]Appearance:[/b]
[b]Traits:[/b] (You can make your own. You have 8 points to raise them from 2, and one must be set at 1. A few traits I’ll be using behind the scenes are Will, Charisma, and Perception. Will lets you resist charm spells and enemy charisma, Charisma lets you skip past fights and recruit allies, and perception is a spot check. All default to 2.)
[b]Notable Items:[/b]
[b]Known/public history:[/b] Yes, I will let you make longer backstories as you play.

RULES:
1. You can make more than one character, and I hope you will do so. There is no real max, but try to limit yourself to only one primary character. Primary characters can be hijacked if you dissappear for or plan on leaving, and say who you are leaving them to beforehand. Otherwise, they will just be written out of the plot.
2.Secondary characters can be traded off just by asking and getting confirmation in the OOC. You can ask for them back.
3. Tertiary characters can be used by anyone, and do not require permission to use. If you dislike the post, though, you can ask them to delete it.
4. In this RP, my word is law.
5.Don't cheat.
6. Have fun.

right, but guns aren't used with strength..i guess perception works for aiming skills, though.

and you need a weakness, like "holy magic."

well, that's why I linked to the rules in my first post. They're really, really easy to learn. But, if you're lazy, it'll be at the end of this post. Yes, you choose your own stats, i'll just be using some behind the scenes. And the middle bit I don't understand, you need to finish that proto-sentence.

http://wiki.saberpunk.net/Wushu/WushuOpenRules

There. Shouldn't take more than five minutes to learn.

-EDIT-
"puns" is a horrible weakness. Just go with holy magic, crippled, or something. I only say it is horrible because while it could wreck your attempts at anything and everything, I don't quite think that you will ever actually roleplay it. So really, no personality weaknesses in general. Unless it's like "Puns cause him massive damage," which I really doubt.

I've read up on them. What I mean is this: The character/s I'm thinking about posting on here have basically opposite statistics. (meaning, one is an almost fully defensive, one almost fully offensive, thereby helping (complementing) each other's weaknesses.

So you guys are willing to play if you're the ones playing the superntural guys?

Hmph. :|

Meh guess I'll join though...

Name: Kanda Imogen

Age: Physical 27, real age 98

Race: Human, cursed.

Appearance: Image

Traits:
Perception: 4
Will: 4
Charisma: 2
Kenjutsu: 5
Crazy Curse powers(Immortal, black flames, copy of Zenbushin, regeneration, goes insane if uses too much): 3
Insanity by the curse if used too much: 1

Notable Items: His katana, Zenbushin. Pack of smokes, bottle o' sake.

Known/public history: A demon cursed him after killing his family when he was seven. The organisation took him in and raised him. They have tried to remove the curse mark on his chest but it has been futile. He has taught himself the way of the swordsman(no, not Kendo :p) to help him remember his humanity and that to help others is a good thing.

The curse has given him superhuman abilities, combined with his excellent kenjutsu he makes a formidable opponent and ally. Un less he goes coconuts.

right, the edited version works MOG.

Bane dragon-yes, that would work perfectly. Because of the way combat works, though, you'd probably want to have someone drawing fire from the bad guys and another focusing only on combat.

Mirku-sure, sure. Works fine.

Optix-GET TO WORK SLAVE!

also, guys, you have eight points to raise them from the default of 2. So far MOG has used five of those, and mirku used 7. So you're weaker right now than I expected you to be.

Location: Wisconsin
Name: Daniel Knight
Age: lost track after he turned 263 (true age is over 1000, appearance is around early to mid 20's)
Race: Demon
Appearance: Demonic form: his demonic form is that of a still humanoid shape, but spines sprout along his arms (outer arm) and back, ending in a tail with barbs around the tip. His eyes are black, as is his hair, and his hands are clawed. His body is the same size as his human form (6 ft.) but his weight is slightly heavier (173 lbs) due to the spines and tail.
human form: His basic shape and skin color is that of a white male, in fact, except for his fingers (more clawlike than a human's), you could say he were human. He is about 6 ft tall and 165 lbs, has black hair and black eyes, and wears clothes that are half-black, half-white (split down the center). He has a single, little noticed scar on both sides of his right hand, which was caused by a juggling accident.
Traits:
Will: 2
Charisma: 3
Perception: 5
Strength: 3
Agility: 5
Weakness: guarding: 1 (being on the defending end of an attack)
Notable Items: Daniel (for the most part) keeps only a belt of daggers and a shortsword. The shortsword is of simple design, no extravagant designs pattern its blade, and the hilt keeps a couple small runes, but nothing to really notice. Its sheath, however, is gilded in arcane runes that glow with silver and gold, although its shape has no difference from that of any other. The runes that pattern the hilt of the sword and the sheath make it a lightweight object, barely as heavy as one of the daggers.
Known/public history: Daniel Knight is more than 1000 as far as he can figure, though he doesn't care to think how long he's lived. His type of demon had very few abilities, and even fewer he actually cared to use. Nowadays, he works as an entertainer, doing dangerous stunts for the gasps of his audience and for the money it makes him (which helps him pay for necessities).

Name: Shadow (real name has been lost)
Age: more than a millenia, less than 2
Race: Shadow (explained in appearance)
Appearance: Shadows were once human, but by some twist of fate (some believe they were cursed or touched a cursed item. Others say it's the result of sending a large amount of demonic energy into them too quickly. Shadow doesn't know himself, having lost that information along with his name.) lost all but the most basic humanoid form. Although he can change back to his human form, his true form is now that of a faceless, pure black entity whose form can shift at his will (though he chooses to stay as close to human as possible)
As for his human form, it is a child of about 10-12 by the looks, with messy brown hair and gray eyes. He wears pure black clothing most of the time.
Traits:
Will: 4
Charisma: 3
Perception: 4
Guard: 5
Weakness: light and fire manipulators: 1
Notable Items: Shadow doesn't carry items with him (unless he's going somewhere far away, in which case he brings a little food.) His weapons are his arms, which he can shape into the shape he needs. The flaws of the ability are that the weapon/item he forms must stay connected to his body (meaning he cannot throw a part of himself) and if it's on the larger side, it becomes less dense (ex. he makes a broadsword out of his left arm. It is less dense that a normal one (by far) and "breaks" easily)
Known/public history: Shadow is a friend of Daniel's, and sometimes helps with his performances.

would these be good?

weaknesses don't take up points. So, Per2+Will2+3Ken=7. Also, I guess I'll get to work on Evil Kanda's sheet.

Bane Dragon-So, Shadow has to roll for weakness when getting hit with light and Fire attacks, and Daniel has to do it anytime someone attacks him or they get to ignore defence? Because that's what it looks like so far, and I can work on that.

Now, to work on some of my characters. All are secondaries, so you can control them if you want.

pretty much. That's why they work together.

Also, I believe Mirku meant +1 on the power side of the curse, not the weakness

Done.
Name:Real name unknown, Codename: "Moby Dick"
Age:Unknown. First reports of him came in 23 years ago.
Race:unknown, but he seems to be a mixture of demon and angel. This is believed to be impossible without halving the amount of power taken from each parent, so verification of his race could reshape our knowledge of cosmological genetics.
Appearance:
Image
Traits:
Notable Items:He has been known to summon holy and infernal weapons to aid him in combat. They do not seem to have any powers of their own, but he can focus his magic through them.
Known/public history: It is not entirely clear who, or what, this entity is. After his first appearance, he has been inciting chaos amongst demons and angels on earth. He remains at large, and is responsible for the Christmas day riots and massacre in Spain. Approach with extreme caution. Highly volatile. Rather quiet. He has not blocked or dodged attacks regularly before, which suggests that he is incredibly tough.

Name:Silvia Cooper "The Bride"
Age:30
Race:Human(?)
Appearance:
Image
Notable Items:At last sighting, she was carrying an sword.
Known/public history: Silvia's history checks out okay. Clean record, no stay in prision, no debt, no secret affairs or anything. There is one thing odd about her past before the two trees massacre-she vanished for three weeks when she was 15. She was then found naked in the desert next to the highway, with no recollection of how she got there. She was quickly returned to her family, and we were not involved. It was odd, to be sure, but nothing particularly dangerous.

Time passed.

Fifteen years after that, she was getting married to a Johan Taylor. By all accounts it was a happy relationship and they would all get along fine for decades to come. She fainted halfway through the ceremony. She woke up immediately afterwards. That's where everything went wrong. From the accounts that our necromancer's were able to glean from the dead, She freaked out, grew strange glowing patterns, and pulled a sword out of nowhere before killing everyone. She is currently at large. The origin of her powers and abilities is unknown.

Name:Roy Hawke, "1337 One"
Age:27
Race:Human. We're sure this time.
Appearance:
Image
Notable Items: Roy has the Pants of Holding and most of the artifacts that were contained in Vault 13. He is capable of reaching into his pants pocket and pulling out whichever one of the magic items that he wishes. The items in Vault 13 were extremely vaulable; they included the Staff of Devastation, the Alexandrian Library, and the earlier mentioned Pants of Holding.
Known/public history: Roy was a mage working for us as a security officer. He did a good, solid job for several years. Then he made a mockery of us all. Specifically, Roy pulled off the greatest heist in the history of our orginization, and removed absolutely every single item from vault 13. Examination of his house revealed that Roy has developed a hatred for humanity as it stands today. Unfortunately, he did not go into his plans. All attempts to find him have failed so far.

And there are our three main villains. PM if you want to play one, and i'll explain their motives and da plan. Villain traits subject to change.
