This is an original RP of mine that I tried on a different forum, but it didn't go anywhere. Perhaps because of lack of members or whatever.
The RP is based around a set of 25 short stories or 'books' that I am currently writing. I decided to start the RP in the first of those 'books' and if I can, try and continue it throughout the entire series.
The RP begins on a fictional planet named Tartarus which is located in the Segroth Solar System, in the Urla Galaxy. The year, by Earth standards is 4010 or 0010 X.D (Xenophilius Destructicus). Tartarus is inhabited by many different races but the native race, the Tyranur are the commanding race. Tartarus is ruled by a Monarchy, although the line of Kings is never blood related or even any type of relation. You see, the King of Tatarus is chosen by The Jewel Of Tartarus. An orange, transparent crystal that has a flat circular base with a dome shaped rise on the top. Underneath the base, an indentation with six passageways is cut into the back. The Jewel is only the size of a Coned lamp shade, meaning it will fit across the chest of an average Tyranur body. The way the Jewel chooses the next King is complicated. After it has chosen a new King, the Jewel will continue to 'serve' the King for a random amount of time. When the Jewel 'stops working', the mysterious glow will vanish and the Jewel will become grey. That signifies that the current King must go and search for the New Hier.
To find the new Hier, the King inlists the help of the Goddess. The Goddess is a beautiful Tyranur female who is hand picked by the King when he first ascends the throne. She is then put through a ritual which intunes her mind to the Jewel meaning that she can see the face of the New Hier and tell the King a vague location.
The King then goes to the location of the new Hier and enlists them for the coronation.
The King of Tatarus
A few basic points about the King.
1. The King chooses the Goddess when he takes the throne
2. The ruler is always a male
3. The King cannot have children until he leaves the throne
4. The King is honour bound to find the new hier.
5. The King wears the Jewel of Tatarus and gains all of its abilities.
6. The King wears the bio-implant armour that connects his soul to the jewel.
The Jewel of Tatarus
The Jewel is the life source of the planet. It is also the King's symbol of royalty. It allows the user to enter the Plane of Tatarus and gives him acess to the Sword Of Tatarus. When worn with the armour, the jewel also gives the transparant, orange look to the King's claws on his hands and feet. The jewel also enhances the user's speed, strength, agility, intelligence and courage.
The Plane of Tatarus
This is the world within the Jewel. Only the King may enter and anybody who has consented to enter and who he allows. Inside it is covered with mountains of the strange rock that the jewel and sword are made out of. The only other thing is, it is a peaceful place and a good place for meditation.
The Sword of Tatarus
The Sword is made of the same transparant, orange rock that the jewel is made of. It can cut through anything and is extremly light, despite its size. It is best described as Cloud's (Final Fantasy 7) Buster Sword. The Sword can also detatch it's hilt which serves as a mini-uzi type weapon or by twisting the hilt in such a way, it can be used to fire off the main blade as a projectile for offensive measures and also as a grappling hook. The Sword can enter the Jewel and be stored there and it can also exit from the jewel aswell.
Races
Tyranurs Tyranur's are best described as Human-Raptor hybrids. They look exactly like raptors bu have a more squared off appearence. But they stand tall like human's. Although Tyranur's have some of the best technology going, they still live fairly simple lives. Using metal swords and crossbows as weapons rather than energy weapons. They are physically stronger, faster, smarter and bigger than humans and can take more damage than humans. One Tyranur year=897 human years.
Humans Humans are what we are today. Although, because of the time era this is set at, Humans have got great technology, enabling them to use laser rifles, energy blades and other such futuristic weapons. Humans are most adabtable to any kind of situation. As i can guess, I think most people on this forum like to rp as half demons and anthros and such. So if you want you may be half demon, half angel, antrho, whatever.
Cartals Cartals are the final race that will appear in this RP. They are strange beings who's appearence is always covered in shadow (like the Balrog from LOTR). They stand and look like humans but they have more abilities then humans. A Cartal can merge with any solid object and then un-merge (if thats a word) from the object in a different location. However, because their atoms are mixing in with the solid's atoms, it causes a ripple of some sort that allows people with quick eyes to see where they are moving. One Cartal year=58 human years
Factions
Each character has to be in one of these three factions
Tyranur Squad This squad will originally be lead by my character but will eventually join the Rebellion. Or when we join the rebellion you can choose to join the 'bad guys'. They have nothing special about them because they don't last long. To be in this you have to be a Tyranur and there are 3 slots open for this squad.

Rebellion The Rebellion are the 'good guys' and are an extremly lively bunch who have good intentions. They are forever fighting against the Dictatorship and its leader (who will be named later). There supplies are limited but they have some of the best technology going, thanks to the citizens who donate money. They are lead by the battle hardened General Losh and his second in command, Commander Fuzen. They are joined by many young lads and adults alike. One lad in particular (who will play an important role later on) is Private Kane Zenorichi. To be in this you can be any race other than Tyranur unless you join with me later on. In that case put on your character sheet that you are with the Tyranur Squad and then when we join with the rebels you can change it. I am allowing 3 members for this aswell.

Dictatorship The Dictatorship is lead by 'The Boss' who is an unknown being who resides in metal life support body that grants him control of electricity and electrons in general. Underneath him is the entire Earth military and his five Generals. Two are known so far, they are named Gooj, a muscle headed lizard-human hybrid and Botch, a half demon who is the more deadly of the two. There are three places open in here and you can be any race other than Tyranur. When the Tyranur squad join the Rebellion, if you wish to join this faction and all three spots are taken, I'll fix something for you.
