Well apparently this is going to be a VERY nasty storm (It will still be a category 4 when it gets to the middle of Louisiana), and they are evacuating the Big Easy again :(. Anyone in the hurricane path or know someone who is?

What's worse is my roomie is a Meteorology major and he's practically spazzing out over how awesome it's gonna be. xD

If I had a car I would probably trade it in for a zodiac right now.

It's probably not going to do a direct hit on New Orleans, but they're going to get one hell of a hard shove from it. Oh well, looks like they might have to invest in some real levies after all.

Honestly, the people in New Orleans deserve to get hit because they're so stupid they decided to live under the water level.

As for the hurricane, I'm really excited. I hope Florida pulls aggro from Mississippi and it heads this way.

I have loads of family in Miami so im hoping it will miss Florida. I don't know how they will handle it since 90% of them are old....if its a cat. 5 direct hit that would suck T_T

Politics and Warcraft terms, XD

I don't see why they can't take all that money they're spending in repairing the dang place and move the city. We had a city in Wisconsin do that because of Mississippi flooding. The moved the whole community out of the flood plains and they've done well for themselves.

Ugh, the levies New Orleans repaired after Katrina were only meant to handle Category 3 hurricanes, so it'll be interesting to see them blown all to Hell by Gustav. <<

It won't hit as a cat 5, but it is predicted to hit as Cat 4. I'm pretty sure Mobile is about to become a swimming pool.

Not that everybody on the news isn't crossing their fingers for a Cat 5 impact, <<
