I know that some people can draw better then others, because it has somthing to do with the brain and they see shapes and colors differently blah blah blah.....

But for those people who had a talent, and that talent was to sketch, doodle, and graphic design verywell at a young age.. but later on stopped drawing and lost his talent and ability.

I guess what im trying to ask is does anyone know of a way to start again I've tried over and over to start a web comic of my own with some friends, we got the site all ready and set...... But i lost my talent to draw, I need anyway to become better you know, a graphic aid of some sort or a site that explains things better i search and get a crap load of how to draw human faces better..... (not helpful want to draw manga/Comic)??

P.S. if this post is in the wrong archive, i apologize.

Drawing is like riding a bicycle, you cant realy "loose" the talent, just go over the tutorials and you will be back on track soon :)

Or maybe you realize now that your "talent" from before was not what you thought it was. Happens a lot-- Draw something-- hide it-- come back to it months later and go "omg this is so ugly i cant beleive i thought this looked good..."

But i beleive anyone can draw--- sure lots of people say they cant-- point is they often dont TRY-- they also dont enjoy it and thats the most important thing- even if you suck if you practice Proportions and anatomy- you can begin to draw well-- if you keep working on it you WILL become better but you have to show other people your work-- they will (or should) tell you what is wrong-- work on it-- repeat over and over again-- sooner or later (most likely later) people will start to say "Wow that looks really good-- but it needs a little more "this" or a little more "that" --- this means you have reached the point of being a decent artist-- and moving on to being a wonderful artist from that point can take FOREVER it may seem-- but it is possible.

Good luck

Sage, the eminent art junkie! lol. But as previously stated, if you had that "talent" as you put it, you can't lose it. If you had the talent to start with, and you resume drawing, your abilities would resurface in a short time. And I do mean short. Persay you might come back after a few years of drawing and your first attempt might reflect little of your usual drawings. But a drawing or so later, you'd be back to normal. The riding a bike comment was pretty close to the truth in terms of never forgetting.

Even if you never had the talent, but you have the desire to draw, then you'd be fine. It's just a matter of chasing after what you want. However, before you jump head first into a web comic after being "idle" in terms of drawing so long, start doing some basic drawings of poses and what not. If you're looking for tutorials I believe there's a few listed on this part of the forum as is. Just check those out.

Hahahaha... it's true that it is like riding a bike, yet i think it's just the frustration that i get when i think i cannot do aswell as others....
If i get myself this new scanner today i can show you some really awesome art that me and a friend from when i was 11 did together.

And somthing i can do now, but your right i havent lost the talent only problem is i think i just forgot all the basics soo i went out this morning and baught 2 books.

:D very good books on how to draw manga and I think it's helping only problem is when I fail as sage puts it you come back and never think I amount to anything. Yet I guess ill have to show you when I'm done my 1st strip to see whether im bullshitin myself or i really did lose the "Talent"

(Btw this comics I've started to create is alot similar to Twokinds, yet alot different (there will be a hot cat/tigergirl or somthing along those lines, hehe can't help it i love catgirls since i was 3) So Tom i hope your comic continues on verywell and hope i can compete with it :D)
