In... 1v1? How the heck does that work?

What pyros really need to do is stay in front of the heavy so they don't turn around right as the spies knife is falling.

I hate team mates. Yesterday I was headshotted by a sniper while cloaked, completely invisible, hadn't been hit or touched anyone, because there was a friggen medic directly behind me.
Lucky medic and sniper.

And what spies need to do is attack when other teammates are attacking, and not just randomly, so they actually help. =_=

Well playing a spy is hard, and often unrewarding, while backstabs do tend to fill up that void of nothingness you developed when you officially became a [censored] nerd its hard to get them in the midst of combat, so us newb spy's, the ones that arn't that good try to make ourselves feel better by picking off the unsuspecting.

That's wrong on a bunch of different levels. There's a reason why spy's a spy. Spies are supposed to help the team by striking the things that are the hardest to kill without something of equal strength; sentries and snipers, and often Medic & Heavy combos. And since they can come back up in no time, you NEED to have allies attacking. How do you do this? You follow your allies in, and as they enter the battle, you cloak, disguise, and infiltrate. This will naturally occur in the beginning of any rounds, and it's not hard to duplicate it.
And it's also why the non-spies must also attack at the right times so the spies can kick in.

It doesn't take a genius to just go where your team is going.

And, of course, this won't matter if you're on Defense, since you won't encounter much of those solid wall of defense from attackers.

attack when other teammates are attacking

Pyro in front of heavy = not attacking?

I just hate when I'm going to help and my teammates give me away by making the enemy turn around as I drop my disguise to stab, both killing me and making me lose the kill.

..What do you mean?

Just to clarify my side, when I said wanted Spies to attack when their teammates attack, I mean don't go rambo on everyone and do nothing but get kills at the back of enemy base while the rest of the team is trying to break a line of defense.

We both are clearly very confused.

When I play spy, say on like, badwater basin, I'll wait till it gets pushed a bit, cloak, and run behind them, make sure no enemies are behind ME, and stab whoever is pushing, but when its on a long straight away, like that tunnel right at the start, I'll go to stab, but a scout on my team will fire from my direction from the end of the tunnel, they'll all turn around, and I'll get blown away.
