I got a 24 pack of glass bottle 355ml coca cola bottles from mexico (imported soda lol) I think the flavor overall is better and smoother but still has the coke bite, also it is made with cane sugar not corn syrup making it more filling Who here has ever compared sodas with cane sugar and normal domestic ones with corn syrup? also glass bottle VS. plastic bottle or can is also a good comparison glass bottles make to taste better because the plastic bottle slightly disintegrate when acids are in them(like soda) meaning when you drink a plastic bottle of soda you digest a little plastic.

TL;DR imported sodas fill you up and taste better overall.

right, if you ever think about it when you taste a coke imported from mexico it has a much more distinct cinnamon flavor in the background than the us version. I also has much less carbonation.

never said there was actual cinnamon in it, just that a background flavor has a cinnamon-like taste that you dont get in the US. yet again probably due to the lower level of carbonation.

I've actually only ever had one type of soda with Cane Sugar in it, Jones soda. Yeah, it does have a better taste to it than Corn Syrup ^^

The bottle does make a difference. Aluminum alloy is a very good barrier to the diffusion of carbon dioxide, but does tend to leave an unusual taste in the drink. Glass, my favorite, is impervious to the passage of carbon dioxide, and is completely inert, leaving no altered taste. Plastic, however, it not very resistant to the passage of CO2, and will lose its fizz after a few months on the shelf.

As far as general taste goes, different countries have different recipes. American soda tends to be very sweet, while the same drink in, say, Latin America, it less sweet, and contains slightly different ingredients -- having been and tried soda in both, I can say this with certainty.

Soda bottled in the original glass bottles will always taste better. The same with the way they're changing Sobe. You can but it now without corn syrup, and instead real sugar. Tastes so much better.

I know what you mean. When it comes from a can, there's just a hint of metal in the drink. The glass bottles win. :)

the only soda i have found that in my opinion is better in a can is diet mt.dew. the metal taste kind of counteracts the aspartame taste or something. but this is only if VERY cold.

I don't like coke or pepsi. I prefer root beer, cream soda, or Brisk canned iced tea.

I'm a Sprite/Orange soda person.
Bonus points if they're mixed.
