What is your favorite rpg, of all time, any system. Your first rpg, what game first inspired to keep with rpgs?

Personally, Secret of Mana was my all time favorite. Aside from that when I started to get away from playing games it was Final Fantasy VII that brought be back.

Also, what was your favorite gaming system?

I'm convinced the Golden Age of Gaming was the years of the SNES and early PSX. After that everything became 95% graphics 4.5% story and .5% gameplay (or FAIL). I don't have just one favorite. My favorite ones would be Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Earthbound, Dragon Quest 4, Saga Frontier, Star Ocean 2, Wild Arms,.. There's lots more.

I adore nethack, despite the fact that the makers seem intent on having me tear my own eyes out with a fork.

Freakin' nymphs.

Paper Mario And The Thousand Year Door is pretty fun too. Mario gets crazy ninja tricks.

I hardly play RPGs.

The only ones that come to mind are the original Final Fantasy and Legend of Legaia (PS1).

Plus a few others that some might not call RPGs, such as the two Mario and Luigi games.

Final Fantasy 7 was my first RPG and it shall forever be one of my favorite games. Not many other games have given me that special feeling that I get when I play Final Fantasy 7. It's that feeling of sometimes just nostalgia, but mostly just really being in tune (I think that's a sutible phrase for what I'm trying to say) with the plot and the game's world. The only other game that I've played recently that has given me that sort of feeling is Beyond Good & Evil, but I'm getting off topic so I'll stop this right now.

Pokemon red, definately, though I was too young to know what an RPG was.

How could I have forgotten about this? It was just put back on my computer! I even just killed the butcher less than a week ago!

So, my first was either Pokemon Red or Diablo. I can't remember.

I didn't know so many people played Pokemon Red. I did play it and I'll admit I liked it until the whole thing exploded and Pokemon was everywhere. Ever since then it kind of lost its appeal to me. As for Legend of Legaia, I did enjoy it but the ending could have used a little fine tuning. There is a game for super nintendo called Legend of Gaia, also one of my all time favorites.

Just thought of a series of games that are my favorites.
1. Grandia 1 and 2
2. Suikoden series, especially 1 and 2

P.S. Sorry it takes me so long to post on my own threads, I'm currently on dial up for another week -_-
