This has really turned into quite the night. First, I hear an announcer say that someone in the Olymipcs broke a world record (wasn't watching at the time, but I like to hear about broken world records), then at like 9:45ish the HP place has this party, or something, that involved their grand fireworks which we could see from our house, I think that tonight was supposed to have a full moon, and just now we had a pretty big thunderstorm, which doesn't happen very often here, accompanied by some summer rain. This has been quite the night.

the language kinda reminds me of the language spoken by those crazy abh's from Crest of the Stars...

watching that vid real time, I loved how the girls came out and surrounded him with those things so the crowd could not see him. Could not help but expect a Chris Angel like poof and something crazy to happen.

Oh man Check, that was intense. That guy wont be lifting weights for a long time. Can't feel too bad for him though. Bones and joints can only take so much, and if you don't have enough muscle to support the strain then you're in the wrong sport. Pushing human limits is one thing, pushing your own personal limits can be much more dangerous.

*ultra cringe*

I heard today that an Olympic medalist for Greco-Roman wrasslin' got pissed because he only got the bronze. They showed a replay of him getting the medal, then walking off the podium before the other two could get theirs and tossing his onto the floor before walking off.

He was stripped of it shortly after, yikes.

GOD DAMMIT ITS NOT SHINY ENOUGH.

Austria fails miserably this time. 1 silver, 2 bronze by now. I thought Markus Rogan and Mirna Jukic (two swimmers) would at least make it into the finals, but no: 4th place for both -.-

Do they score countries by the amount of medals they have, or by the value each level has? Because China is owning the gold medals with their amazing adaption of smog-filtering GILLS, but the U.S. is skirting by with the most medals overall.
