and not in that sense
but yea, whenever disaster strikes[like it did late last night.early this morning] i usually find myself reading http://www.adequacy.org/stories/2001.12 ... .2147.html for a laugh
however, that has grown thin, so i ask for any other funny articles you know of
reason of depressed mood: windows ate all my music, pictures and program installers as i was backing them up. then the array was in r0 not r5 and a disk failed[and i lost the backup]

in responce to your file loss, yes it sucks like nothing else. i once had a 320gig drive die taking with it files that ranged from the week before to about 3 years before.

The poll is kinda random considering the topic, though to answer it no, never had that happen, I back everything up every other week. Though I have seen people lose up to 8 years worth of data before; devastating especially when it's work essential.

Weeellllllll.... It just happened to me. Had to do a full system restore (4 times...), and I lost all my data since May. Not a HUGE deal, as most of it was stuff you guys posted on here, but it's still kind of annoying.

XD, thanks guys
XKCD is one of my favourites currently[i make references to it that few of my friends get] but hte cyanide and happieness one is new to me
on the upside, half my music was saved by hiding in \porgram files\<some random hidden folder>\ and my vacation photos were still on my laptop, so nothing too major was lost
however, when i dragged the disk array out to van to pick up some torrents a friend downloaded me his quad chose to utterly fail with no apparent reason, right when we tossed the scsi card into it >. >
he wanted a new mobo anyways...
