Yeah, I suck at titles. If you recognized the quote, Yes I am a Kubrick fan.

Anywho, I'm Grant, otherwise known as Gamewinner07 on everything that needs a username. I'm gay, a furry, theater sound tech, basic Python/Java programmer, Airsoft player and Mountain bike racer. Pretty odd jumble, huh?

I signed up because of the recent *cough* "Happenings" with Keith and Alaric, which as you might've imagined, gave me immense joy. I will try to do less lurking in this forum, unlike I do in most.

If you were a true Kubrick fan, you wouldn't have given it away like that. You would have been far more subtle. For shame!

Seriously, welcome to the forums, fellow Kubrick fan! :) And feel free to post in the TWC incentive thread (which I started)!

Heh, thanks for the various greetings, and I don't want to know what I just unleashed. *Grabs SCAR-L*

I lost my sanity a long time ago, in a place that you should know as TnT.

I fear the double-glomp. *Takes SCAR-L and hides in closet with laptop*

"hello have a good time and... ok i'm all out of intros" Is the best intro EVAR. Srsly.

Well, I needed a quote that would fit, and that most people would recognise.
For recognition:
"Batiatus: Come with us. See to it I don't misuse the money.
Gracchus: Don't be ridiculous. I'm a Senator."

was pretty much out, and my favorite FMJ quotes:
"Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: How tall are you, private?
Private Cowboy: Sir, five-foot-nine, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Five-foot-nine, I didn't know they stacked [censored] that high."

and
"Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Oh that's right, Private Pyle, don't make any [censored] effort to get to the top of the [censored] obstacle. If God would have wanted you up there he would have miracled your [censored] up there by now, wouldn't he? "
Were out because of length.

And yes, Full Metal Jacket is definitely For The Win.

With the title of the movie RIGHT IN THE heading? Kubrick curses thee! :P

Okay, maybe not. :)

But he wouldn't have used a sledgehammer either.... ;)

Hah, I had just watched the movie and that was the first quote. Tell Kubrick I'm sorry and I wish that he would remove the...curse...... Huh. Apparently Kubrick magic does the same thing as Basitin magic. Now I know what Natani feels like....

LOL! :D

I cracked up when I read that.... I like you already! :)

I'll intervene with Mr. Kubrick on your behalf, although he doesn't like to remove curses he's already placed.... ;)

Well I'm glad, and its even better that you're a Beatles fan (Or at least a Lennon fan. Never did like the Plastic Ono Band though) :P.

I thank you for talking with him. Tell him I will also stop referring to him as "Stanny boy" in public situations and telling everyone we're gonna be good drinking buddies and he's gonna steal some of the prop ideas for Sparticus from me when he comes to the future in 2010.
Ugh, I think I've had one too many Spikes...[Dramatic Chipmunk]...Or have I ?
The only upside of this predicament is now my interest in men is more socially acceptable. Woo.....doesn't feel completely right though...

I am a fan of both, actually. And you're entitled to your opinion, but there's nothing more cathartic than screeching along with Yoko Ono's "Why?" ;) Glad to hear you're a fellow Beatles fan, though! :)

And Mr. Kubrick certainly hopes you'll stop doing all that--he wishes the movies he's remembered for to begin with Lolita, which therefore excludes Spartacus, and also he will not come to the future in 2010 and is angered by this erroneous belief. :P

He is forgiving of such, though, if you have indeed had too many.

Well, lets see. 1 Spike= 5 cups of coffee/6 Cokes/3 Red Bulls and I've had 1, 2,....7.

But I know he said it.......if you overlay the audio of each of his movies and play it at half speed backwards for 30 minutes, you hear him say "I will use my magic to come to the year 2010" Then again, I could be hearing things...No, I couldn't be, the wall says that he heard it too.
