This is an RPG with two settings- both modern and fantasy. You'll see, don't worry.

The story: A serial killer has haunted New York City for months, the victim's bodies dissapearing and reappearing exactly ten days after the dissapearance, with a printless dagger in their back and a message written in blood at or near the crime scene. Finally, after his fourth killing, he leaves enough evidence to find his identity and workspace. The group that finds him, however, is thrust into a world of fantasy as a new creation, and find they must escape the trap they walked into before it kills them all.

The four messages:

1: "She asked the wrong questions."
2: "The men saw who he was."
3: "She couldn't see it."
4: "Couldn't get to the door before dawn."

The characters can be investigators or police officials of any ilk, so as long as they are capable of going out into the field. Such would include CSI or SWAT, for example. FBI are permitted.

Even though this takes place in New York, remember to keep cursing at as much of a minimum as possible without going all-out Puritan.

Fantasy desc: Brown fur, light complexion, dark green eyes.
Bio: Michael is a hardened, slow-to-speak CSI. He handles everything with a blunt sense of humor and a precision intellect.

Note: Do not mention the fantasy description, or anything fantasy related, in the bio- as far as it's concerned, they're normal people living in the world as we know it.

Fantasy description: Tall with black fur and glowing red eys. Wears a black shirt with black pants. Has medium-length black hair
Bio: No one knows much about him, including himself. He has no idea who he is or where he came from. He's asked multiple people, and doesn't like what he's found. He's heard that he used to be a psyco wanted for murder and many other crimes. He joined the FBI to help make up for the crimes he's commited. He has retractable steel claws that are linked to his nervous system, so he can sheath and unsheath them at will.

It might help to say which portion of the NYPD he's in, like SWAT or CSI etc.

Fantasy description: Is aproximatly 6'2" with black fur and a white tail tip and Black eyes.
Bio: Being an incredible marksman, Pyro joined the NYPD FBI section. He is part of the FBI SWAT team and entered the sniper's position. He is skilled with any weapon with a scope and likes to compete a lot. He is a really nice person but when it comes to operations where his team-mate's life are in the hands of his scope and his eyes, He never fails.

He should be, at the very least, in his mid-early twenties. Otherwise, he's fine.

BTW: need one more character.

Fantasy description: Stands 6' 2" with peircing blue eyes. Has red fur and a white chest. Fur on nose is black and so is tip of tail
Bio: Vance joined up with the police force to try and make a difference. He joined the CSI due to his ability to notice detail. Wears wire glasses and an un-lit cigerrete in his mouth. Vance is very much layed back, taking his time at his job. He tends to read a lot of books and keeps to himself
