well, i know this is a stupid question and all, but: do siggies count as art and stuff?

i wanna know, cuz i wanna post some of my stuffz and some of me friends (Hidden Shadows, hes like totally forgotten about every forum he has joined), but i dont wantz to put it into da ranting place under me sticky cuz thats for requests, nto showing off. but the art section is like, for art...... and drawings! sooo........ where..... >_> <_< >_> *looks down at me current sig* i swear, that is pretty dam yaoi-ish.... blegh >_<

Technically Sigs do not count as art-- they are often composite work with some original work in them like effect design-- if your sig work has a lot of original design to it the best way to show it as art is to show the final peice- and show the other hand made elements with it (honestly cuting out something is not an art- there are programs that can cut out something nearly perfectly with a click of a button- graphic designers use them to remove logos and easily splice things into a an ad or banner.)

So as long as you show off the original part as the art and the final product as the Sig-- yes it belongs here-- but just posting the sig isnt going to cut it. Alright?
