Very cool pics. And I know what it's like not to have a scanner. I don't even have a digital camera, so if I take pics of my art, I have to wait a week as the film is developed and they put the negatives on to a disc! gargh...

Well... your style is already very good, think it won't need that much training to start your first own comic. As you already said shading is kinda missing a lil. If you add this too your pics will look really awesome i guess... so keep up posting! ^^

Making a webcomic is hard work and takes alot of dedication,

Before starting one, try to make a few "practice" pages to see how long it would take. If you have trouble just making the practices dont start a comic just yet, keep practicing the basics (such as Anatomy, Gesture and perspective)

When starting a webcomic be sure to have:

- The reason why your making a comic (Because I "want" to, wont push you to finish the comic, it'll end up like 80% of comics unfinished and/or lacking updates)

- A complete story ( Do not wing it, it'll make plenty of plot holes)

- Detailed character bios (The hero who's always heroic isn't good enough try to make your characters have more "human'ish" characteristics, with qualities and flaws, try not to make em stereotyped, it'll develop an bond with the reader)

- Comic format (4 panels, American Style, Manga types)

- At least two weeks to a month of comics made in advance (incase of illness or something stopping you from drawing)

Remember making a comic is hard work, it's not all fun and games, even Tom stays up very late to finish up his comic.
