I'm not quite sure if I understood that, but I'll try to help :)

Paper, pen and loads of enthusiasm, now. And I really mean right NOW. Stop doing whatever else you might be doing and take a pencil. That's the perfect recipe for getting started.

As for what to draw, I don't know. You have to draw something you want to draw, what you like to draw. Nobody wants to draw if they have to draw something they don't like.

For example, draw a girl. Everybody likes girls, even girls just don't get any strange ideas. Perfect practice on drawing humans in general, and you know it's good when you start to like the picture :)

That's how I got on my way, anyway.

A big help for me was to take notes from everyone else's art. Or at least, the people who use the style you want. Look at how THEY do eyes, hands, and bodies. Keep drawing the stuff and it will improve. I used to suck bad. Really bad. But no one will ever, EVER see the early stuff ANYWHERE.

Buy a sketch block with... let's say 20-50 pages for starters. Get a pencil, stick it behind your ear. Then, don't stop until you have run out of paper.
Congratulations, you have a hobby now.

Try not to lose your motivation by thinking you are bad. Instead, gain motivation by thinking there is something you want to improve about yourself. If you have no inspiration for ideas, just start drawing something. I often start with a circle, a face, or things I see around me.

If you keep your productivity up for a few months, you'll see how much you improved yourself.

Okay look here newbie. You don't want to start because you're not good, but you're sure as hell never going to improve if you don't start, and no one has to see your work until you're satisfied with it. So next time you find yourself sitting down with nothing to do, pick up a pencil and find some paper and start to sketch.

Sorry, the Dr. Cox thing just seemed to fit, and I couldn't help myself.

well i noe, but yeah, the gangsta trend is a bit bad here, so i tend to watch myself, thats why i dropped out normal school, since i got into a fight, so im home schooled, etc, but yeah, i tend to draw in secret but, i got no motivation atm

And you're complaining about that? My wife is a proffesional artist, and she only has a index finger on one hand and a thumb and a pinky on the other. What's wrong with you? are you trying to say that my wife can't be a good artist? Since obviously with your precious whole hands you can't draw, so she must be even worse than you. How about you come over here and I'll fix that.

(It wouldn't be the Janitor without the horrible lies :D )
