The thread where I'll post pictures that I drew. Part of me wants to bring up some examples from my deviantart account, but the link is already on the deviantart listing thread and my website button. So I'll reserve this for anything recent that I feel could spark critique related discussion.

Image
The first image I'll post is very basic, just a child version of one of my characters. This is one of my most recent pictures so that's why I'm posting it. That and my CanoLIDE 60 scanner hates color pencils apparently, and likes to mess up and pale out the colors. Generally this was scanned for the exercise of using Photoshop to tune this type of image enough to resemble the real life original.

Neat, I like the outlines. Sooo... what is it?

And hey, we have the same scanner.

Thank you for the comments.
Heh, heh Abaddon's a bit of a mystery.

Now for some sketches.

Image
The first one is some concepts for Zao, a character I made some time ago. For his clothes I worked on a design that would conceal most of his animal-like features. I'm still trying to work on his 'feral killer' face trying to achieve a baboon-esque kind of look.

Image
The second one I'd like some help with. It's Natani whipping out her bow and arrow for combat. Spawned from some gestures, I decided to add upon it. There are some parts I'm concerned with, such as the bow and arrow (just went by memory) and her legs.

The top right doodle of Zao is, in my researched opinion, super cool. I assume there is a story behind this character?

Also, while Natani's bow looks like it would never shoot farther than ten feet (a reference would help, I think) the expression on her face is intent and determined which makes up for everything. And when I say everything, I mean everything.

That bestial face looks hardcore. Especially with the coloured eyes.
It's a pity I can't enjoy good art by others. I tend to get jealous easily. See this as a compliment :/

Zao was a Keidran/Human hybrid character originally created for this contest thread-> http://2kinds.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7082
There isn't much else to him, but I find him charming, and he's very fun to draw. (although, I feel the same way towards a lot of the characters I made)

Now for Natani. . .

I decided to put up the inked version as well, because I'm worried that the colors in the finished version might be too dark. TheSpiffman's comment on the bow convinced me to do some research. I increased its size, but made sure it wasn't too big to inconvenience her in a forest setting. The design is based on the bow she used in one of her introductory comics.

Sweet Jesus, I really need to learn how to color. I mean really, everyone else can, and pretty well too!

The bow looks nice. Probably a composite shortbow, judging on the design and size. I might have said somthing looks funky about the arrow, but thats only foreshortening. Just remember though: a little weapons research can keep the Spiffman from having a stroke!

*chuckle* I see Nat's odd choice to abandon the long-range assault in preference for an ill-advised assault with a blade is something she consistently fails to learn lessons from. :P

That's what Natani does. Fail to realize that stabing is not he best solution for everything. Cathartic of course, but not necesarrily the best idea. Also I love the toony nature of everything.

Natani isn't a Man in a wonans body, she's a Serial kiler in a assassins body!

It's a dog, and some other things. Much like the introductory image in that it was used to practice photoshop for fixing up my scanned colored pencil pics.
