I bought clothes yesterday and the store didn't take the sensors of so now we have to go back out there to have them take the sensor off.

What's your opion on stores to lazy to take off a sensor that they put on to prevent stealling.

Hey now, lol, I used to work in a JCPenney's and I was one of those guys who forgot to take the security tags off, :)

More likely than not, it wasn't laziness on the cashier's part. There's a lot that goes on in those stores and sometimes you get so comfortable assuming that, say, only Levi's jeans get ink tags that you don't check the Arizona or Lee's. I got caught in that once or twice the day after we started putting these smaller ink tags on bras. I was always looking for the big fat buttons, so when these tiny ones came through, I missed most of them for a whole day. Lot of pissy customers came back.

The biggest reason I'd miss them was because I would simply not see them. Most of the time I would plop the garment on the desk and listen for that "thud" the tag made. It's a lot faster than standing behind the desk and checking in every sleeve, under the seams, and under every fold when you have a customer with 30-50 pieces of clothing in a pile.

If you haven't gone back already, save yourself the trip. Those ink tags are just made up of a magnet pulling down on a pin. If you stick a strong enough magnet on the bigger base of the tag, it should release that pin and you can pull off the top. There's no way you're going to break the ink vials unless you're really cranking on them. The base, FYI, is that cone-shaped bottom part.

:3 Give cashiers a break, man. Everybody makes mistakes, you were just one of the unlucky ones to be at the receiving end of one.

:) Like I said, use a fairly strong magnet and it'll separate the two pieces. That'll teach you for going shopping!!

I dont buy clothes, I just reach into my magic closet, and clothes magically appear there for me to wear.

I've got plenty of clothes from when I worked at Penney's... and I really wish I hadn't wasted all that money on them, :(

You could have just taken the sensors off. You have not enough criminal energies.

Y'all need some leather pants. Nothing's more comfortable than a good pair of leather pants. :)

Funny thing about the ink tags is that our store didn't have a system that read the magnet inside, so even if you just stole a box of the security tags, we wouldn't know. And yet, people still resorted to bringing in needles and lighters to burn them off, <<

I have yet to try leather pants, but I'd think they'd be hell to wear in this muggy weather.

Yet another reason to shop at Goodwill. Seriously, you can find the best stuff there, and only pay a fraction of the price. My buddy got an entire purple suit for $20.

Oh god, one of my teachers owns tight leather pants. Always reminds me of this Simpsons episode...

"Feels like I'm wearing nothing at all...
Nothing at all...
Nothing at all..."
