Mmkay, lesse here...teeth gnashing, mouth throthing, giggling and squeeling muchly, yep, I've become a fanboy.
http://twilightthemovie.com/This movie, based on book of the same title by Stephanie Meyer, is quite possibly the only thing I look forward to more than any other this year, that I can think of. Nothing has turned me into this much of a fanboy since...ever. Oh, also, the fourth book in the series comes out on August 2. Please, fellow forumites, tell me I'm not alone in my terrible but wonderful affliction.

Isn't this the third installment of two other movies? Something about the armies of night and dark having some stalemate to prevent war, but one guy who is a member of the light who actually has properties of dark... can't remember, a coworker of mine has been trying to get me to watch them for ages and I just can't get past the subtitles.

No. That's Nightwatch and Daywatch. And the subtitling is the best part. They really did some super work with the subtitles in Nightwatch (haven't managed to see Daywatch yet). This seems to be some kind of vampire movie of a more traditional bent (as far as the world is concerned anyway). Though you'll need to fill us (read: me) in 'Somni. I've not heard of Twilight.

The subtitles bugged me mostly because they were yellow and a grainy, pixxilated text. I couldn't read them without squinting. Beyond that, the acting was somewhat decent for Daywatch.

Ahgh! Where 's my crossbow? I need to get my crossbow! I can't kill vampires without my crossbow!

Filthy bloodsuckers, sucking blood. They are like giant ticks.

"Vampire love angst" is a highly bare-bones summary of it...Okay kiddies and old people, buckle up for a wild ride.
Twilight, and the subsequent sequils, is about 17-18 year old Bella Swan, a painfully (often litterally) normal girl, and highly clumsy. It is also about the vampire Edward Cullen, technically the same age...except he's been this age for "a while". They fall in love, slowly. Bad things happen. It becomes a major human/vampire/werewolf love triangle in books two and three....y'know what? Just go to a library and pick up the books. I don't know about you, but I just couldn't put them down after I got started. It only took me so long to read all three of them because of how popular they are at my school. After all, the setting is just across the Sound from us^^Anywhozits, Fanboy Away!

Well Kit, I'm happy to say that it will most likely not be an Eragon repeat. Stephanie Meyer is one of the writers of the movie, so I'm pretty sure it'll be true to the source material. Also, thank the gods that I'm not alone here. Would you like to join my giggling, squeeling, teeth gnashing, and mouth frothing fanboyism? Free cuddles for all members...and select non-members like Mama Wynni.
