Seeing as I'm getting a new rig, I'm also thinking about getting a new game to test out the graphics. I'm wanting a FPS, but nothing really with a plot that I need to care about. Just straight-up deathmatch with vehicles and crap. Counter-Strike: Source is just too damn pumped with bigots for me to tolerate any more (I lasted a week), and Unreal Tournament III is likely filled with old members of UT2k4 that I'd rather not reunite with.

Any suggestions? Even a new MMORPG would rock!

I've been considering trying out this MMORPG called Wakfu. The concept seems interesting enough but I have so much on my plate with WoW at the moment.

Team Fortress 2

Oh you wanted something CPU intensive?
Try Crisis. Then go play TF2.

I've heard Crysis being touted just about everywhere but haven't so much as even seen a trailer. It's like the Assassin's Creed of PCs, right?

I'll give it a look. Worst case, I may have to get UT:III, even though there's really nothing more satisfying than dropping a Goliath on some unsuspecting pedestrian's head...

Edit:

Just looked up Crysis on YouTube.

O_O MUST HAVE. Is that multiplayer online?!

In Crysis it's really hard to die.
I played a demo on my brother's computer cause mine's only good enough to play TF2 and HL2 on the lowest settings.

So list a games...
1.TF2
2.COD4
3.Battlefield 1942-Any of the three exspansions.(I'VE NEVER PLAYED BATTLEFIELD 2 OR BAD COMPANY. I wanna play Heroes though.)
4.There's a few MMOFPS out there, most are low graphic requirements though.
Lessee...
I can't remember any.
There are a [censor]load of really good mods for HL2 though.
Plus HL2 is awesome yet has a plot.

I'm tempted to try the demo for Crysis on this laptop - I can run HL2 on full settings with it, but with a bit of stuttering at times. But I don't wanna ruin anything for myself, :o

Team. Fortress. 2.
Other than that, quake 4 and doom 3 are pretty fun, particularly the DooM 3 last man standing mod. S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Portal, and CoD 4 are all good choices, but IMO Portal is too short to be 20 dollars.
