Ok, so I have been playing Guitar Hero 3 recently, and I started playing on Expert about a week ago. And I must say "Reptilia" is my favorite song on expert :p

I still cant beat "The Devil Went Down To Georgia/Through the Fire and Flames" on anything higher than medium :(

discuss :p

I haven't played much GH lately because I got Rock Band. Although it is fun to play the drums and sing, the song selection is better in GH (especially 2).

I play on hard with a regular ps2 controller (just for fun) .

blah blah I play real guitar blah bhalrghadfasnfsadf.

I stopped playing GH a while ago to practice the real thing. But I SUCK at GH. I play on expert, can pass just about every song, but nothing really spectacular. I can't get past the TTFAF into, <compensation> but that's ok because Herman Li isn't nearly as good as the recording seems </compensation>.

Now whenever my brother plays a song I know how to play I just bring up my guitar and play along, which he hates me for :D. 'Specially Cliffs of Dover <3. Plus GH over complicates certain songs. Like they add in notes where there shouldn't be, or take out notes where there should be.

Expert.... I'm more of a classic rock guy, and it seems like GH has more metalish songs lately. Not to say I'm so picky as to what music I listen to, but I'd really like to see, like, some more Allman Brothers songs in the future versions. =^.^=

I know what you mean, but it also makes some songs crazy easy, even beyond the easiness that 5 frets and 1 string make them.

I've beaten 1 and 2 on Expert, and am almost done with 3 on Expert. Still, I have to say Rock Band was more fun, even though it didn't have Dragonforce.

yeah, Drums on rock band is alot of fun, but Expert guitar on GH3 is alot harder than expert guitar on rock band. Both are awesome games.

rock band is just to expensive :(

I say we name our favorite song in all of the GH's combined.

I think mine would have to be "Psychobilly Freakout" by The Reverend Horton Heat which is found in GH2.

I don't have it. Wish I did but I'm not willing to pay hundreds of dollars for it. I play when I can, maybe 2-3 times a year. I really want to try TTFAF on expert.

I only play on Medium. Hard presents the problem of moving my hand up and down the buttons to hit Orange, and the speed & hammerdowns screw with my head. Can't process it all, and I only play as a novelty (got the game & guitar from a contest @ work). It's a neat game, but nothing I'm thoroughly addicted to.

Needs downloadable content on the Wii.

:) I think if you can play "Mary Had a Little Lamb" on a real guitar, you're a better musician than any players on Hyper Expert 5 in GH:III.

I disagree. Most of my friends who play can play guitars and are in bands. Not me though. I'm happy with the delusion I'm playing a song. (What's that quote about substituting realities?) Alright the last bit was a lie. When I play Guitar Hero I think of it as any other game just push these buttons in this order at this time. It also combines music in a more active way than sitting in my room listening to my speakers play the song (I don't have an ipod or whatever and do that instead). But then again, I do only play the game 2-3 times a year. I'd like to play more often, but I don't think it's going to happen.

Just what I think.

I'm cynical towards the game ever since my coworker - who plays decently on actual guitar - has decided the only way to play GH:III is to put the guitar behind his freaking head and play it that way.

*shrug* I'm not out any money having gotten it, but I do wish I could have gotten something else outta the contest.
