i just got into anime a few months ago and so far i have watched only a few of them. I was hoping i could get some suggestions. I really enjoyed chobits, ah! my goddess, and dearS, so im looking for something on those lines. If you want to, place a link to a wikipedia, fansite, etc.

I don't watch too much anime, but Ruroni Kenshin has got to be one of my favorites. The first two seasons are great (episodes 1 - 62).

Hmm... maybe one of the Tenchi series? I'd suggest the OAV (First one).

-turns around to his anime collection- I've been more of a mecha person myself. Robotech The Macross Saga started me on my path (it's from the 80's, known as Macross in Japan). Also helps that I play a game that originally ripped off alot of mecha designs from anime

It seems you like the light, romantic, "girly" types of anime...

Hmmmm...

So...yes, Tenchi Muyo! is a good call...maybe Kanon...or AIR...or Love Hina...or His and Her Circumstances...or Fruits Basket...

I agree that Rurouni Kenshin is a great romance, but it is a fantastic action series, if that's something you want to look into... but I would have to say that Robotech might not be your cup of tea, unless you're into retro space-adventure series...kinda like an animated Battlestar Galactica with a transforming ship, if you will...

Shoot, if you want to get historical, try Sailor Moon...talk about a fantasy/romance series!

I can half-way recomend Maburaho and Magikano... not exactly the best out there though. And I suggest looking at them after the others that have been suggested.

Heh, while we're at it Tuna, might as well toss out Ranma 1/2 out there as well.

Aaaand as you'll find out rather quickly Tuna's avatar is from Tenchi Muyo (Ryoko)

Try Dokura Chan, it's cute, has a somewhat romantic story to it and is filled with immenise amounts of cartoony blood, gore and some poor pervert's head being chopped off and/or havin a mace stuck in his head X3

OH and monkies, don't forget those

My favorite anime ever: Seto No Hanayome

It's about this guy who was drowning, then a mermaid saved him. But since he (a human) saw the identity of a mermaid, either him or the mermaid he saw has to be killed (by merfolk law). So to prevent this, they get engaged. Hilaity ensues...

Good luck finding it though (well at least in english). It can only be found in raw. Hurray for knowing Jap!

Kind of moderately experienced in the anime region.

I would reccomend Hellsing, Busor Renkin, and if you want blood, destruction and death, then Berserk.

All of these are in graphic novels at BleachExile.

Okay, this topic is, like, a month old, but I've gotta make my say: It's really girly or whatever, but Tokyo Mew Mew is an awesome love story/cute catgirl anime show. Gotta love those ears... =^.^=

It isn't a month old. It's barely two days...

And I could make suggestions, but I don't watch much anime, so most people have said anything I would.

I need to watch more... I kinda stalled out... or burned out not sure which.

Let's just say I end up going into odd hours of the morning trying to watch one more episode (or read one more page ;) like with Yosh and 2k)
