Free Rice is a UN program that helps to feed people in need. All you need to do is get the correct word right. Free Rice is a vocabulary game, a word is given and you must select the synonym/defining word.Each Correct word is 20 grains of rice, and in about 5 minutes you can get up to 1000!
Where does the money come from? The ads at the bottom of the page. Each page view generates a certain amount of money. But is it effective? Enough rice is donated to feed about 7,000 people daily.
The total amount of rice donated to tis date: 27,669,258,730

1,200 in about 2-3 minutes. I'm too tired to keep playing, but it was fun. Really got to put my vocabulary to good use. I'm somewhere between 31-36 so far.
