I really don't know how to explain this, but my Father has Vista on his system and he's trying to get it to read USB Flash Drives...

They aren't working. The computer read the drives just fine when it had XP and he really needs it to read the drives for work.

Any suggestions?

Wait, what's the problem? Vista don't detect the flash drives or something?

In the past, one of my ports on my computer got broken, so it never worked, had to change the hardware for that.

However, if it is still registering, try looking at your devices (from control panel, calles Device Manager) and see which Universal Serial Bus controllers are installed. Try to scan for hardware changes or even update them.

We know the hardware is working because it'll detect everything else [Like his wireless internet that's connected via USB] it just won't detect any USB Thumb Drivers. He's gotten every update possible.

I'll look into his Device Manager later.
