So I was browsing the internet a little while ago, and decided to check the forums here. I idlely typed twokinds into the Google search bar, (don't really know why; it's in my website drop bar :-P) and came across this.

If I remember correctly, that site was set up at about the same time as the comic's last major hiatus was just ending. In fact, this strip was posted the very next day.

So, is it an imitator, or (more likely) an abandoned site layout? If it's the latter, who's that character at the top, and should we look out for her in the future?

Oh, and if this has already been posted, don't kill me. I used the search function and didn't find anything.

That's an interesting find, though I still wouldn't rule out the possibility of imitator unless Tom himself says otherwise. Interesting what a brain fart can do for you.

What sort of imitator would use Tom's name?

I think it's safe to say it's an abandoned site layout.

I think it's him. Check out the e-mail at the bottom. It is the same one Tom uses. And if it is an imitator, wouldn't they have started posting by now? As you have said, unless Tom says something, we can't be sure, but there are plenty of clues saying that it is him.

I knew that layout looked familiar - it is saved in Robbie's archive...but the archived version doesn't have any of the art...hmmmmm...

Could be a prospective version of Keith's mom...an early test or something...

I remember this from a long time ago but I don't remember what Tom had said about it. There have been several times Tom had thought about starting over and working on some other ideas that were still part of Twokinds but he never went anywhere with them. The character at the top is obviously not any of the characters from Twokinds. Y'all will just have to wait for Tom to address this topic to know all about it.

Well, from asking Tom a while back, it *was* his site. I forget why he abandoned it, but Tom did do that design.

My archive *did* have the images, however due to a wrong-cased folder name(design instead of Design), things didn't work. That has been fixed, and 'index.html' has been renamed to 'index_.html' so you can go look at all the images independently of the webpage - theres at least one piece of art I found that was not linked to. :P

Hm...this character looks like a human/basitin. Well, at least we now know what one of those looks like. Extremely adorable! And that sad look in her eyes...it makes me want to give her a comforting cuddle/snuggle. Oh Tom, please give her a name.....and perhaps find a way to work her into the 2kinds we know and love?

Funny thing is... she looks like the image of Kitten I had in my head ._.
One of them atleast. The other one is her full Basitin...

Creepy! >_<

Edit: Doesn't she kinda look like the female in this strip?

Just as a full Basitin and with long hair..

Cool little alter-site there. I like the colors and all that but the weird Human/Basitin halfbreed there doesn't make sense to me. At the risk of reopening the old "can Flora & Co have bebbies" discussion, I just don't see a crossbreed like that coming out so flawless.

Wouldn't want to be that kid in school, :3

Or, maybe, just a character Tom created and never used?

Maybe originally Trace's wife was a bit like the one girl with green hair, and this helped Trace's kind reaction to Flora? I doubt that though =P

http://robbiethe1st.ktserv.com/twokinds/othersite/ Go look in the subdirectories and see!
I put that comment to get people curious... Come on... Browsing through open folders isn't *that* hard, and considering you can do it with *any* browser... There is no reason why *not* to.
