I have the feeling the easy way out would never happen.

On other side of the world from where they started. This is going to be quite the trip by the time they're done. At least the ride on the ship (assuming they can convince Eric to take them or secure a different ship) should be shorter. Well, if the wind's with them anyway. We know the prevailing current flows the opposite direction (Keith's raft seems to lack a sail, and he ended up in Fox territory.)

"Don't you remember what you are?" That's a great line. :D After so much of the beginning had Flora trying to act human, and the middle had Trace obsessing with her being Keidran, now the shoe is on the other foot.

Now what kind of "folk" are around those waters? Merfolk? Can't quite make it out...

Nice to end up on the first page again. Wow, it's been a while.

--EDIT--
"Swim!" That's it. It must be "Merfolk swim these waters." I was wondering what could end in "im." It must be "swim."

^ I was just about to comment on the waterfolk...
X3

Is it me, or does the notation about Beware! tigers seem to be a loose reference to "Peter Pan"?
;3

I like the accents of the water ring on the table and the spiderweb in the corner...

The map evolved a lot with time. Or maybe it's simply because they use different maps that have a different vision or where start and end each race land. The previous map had much more water between the human kingdom and where is the tiger land. ( remember that there was also a map of 2kinds whole journey that didn't end in Lyn'Knoll valley but I forgot to save it. Like many thing in the blue and red forum). I still don't understand why Trace don't wanna use the longer way. Few month is not a big deal since they will be together. This isn't like if they were wasting time away of each other.

Anyway, Avwolf I think that you're a little wrong. They were more toward the center since they started to walk toward the keidran border before take the boat. :? I could be the one that make a mistake but they travelled a lot of time before reach the sea.

Éric a commencé à peindre une semaine après le début de la traversée.

S.P.P.

Yes, it's more time that they're together, but it's less time that they're settled down -- they're effectively still unsafe and on the run until they reach that valley. Given how tired of being under threat they are, I don't blame Trace for wanting to take the most direct route.

Perhaps. I was really only remarking that the dotted line from the Basitin Isles to the rainforests of Flora's tribe is shorter than the dotted line representing their journey here.

I wonder, is that first map Keith's or Trace's? Keith's the one trying to guide them on it. Maybe it was something he was left when he was banished. Then it would make a bit of sense that it's got such errors to it (like north pointing in a different direction). After all, he's banished forever. If Keith can't find his way back because his map is bad, all the better. :P

Hmm this map reminds me of a question when I saw it before.

is this the ENTIRE world map? or is it more of a region map? I notice to the north and south (relative to the direction the map is facing us) is cut off so it just sparked the question again.

This particular strip brings everything back into focus, the goals they have, whats going on now, and what they have been through. It begs the question, how close are they to the end of this story/adventure?

I had another question but its late so I forgot what it is... so there ya go

I couldn't help but notice Eric sailed almost straight out into the middle of the "Grand Ocean" before turning to sail towards the Basitin Isles, instead of staying close to the coast before turning south. Sailing out towards the southern most point on the middle part of the continent, then sailing directly south would have probably been a lot faster, and they would have been able to get fresh supplies for the crossing over the open ocean.

Also: the Basitin Isles seem more like an Australia-esque continent that a series of 'isles'.

Maybe this is Traces chance to put the "make himself look like a keidran" magic he was practicing earlier to the test. =3

Wait a minute! Wasn’t Lyn’ knoll an isle seen on panel 3 on this comic?

I see I'm not the only one to have noticed 'Merfolk swim here'. I wonder what Merfolk lass is going to sigh wistfully after Keith during the voyage...

Remember, good maps aren't necessarily something most people can have. The map they have now looks very professional, and it's probably Eric's. Merchants are more likely to have good maps than anyone else. The previous map was probably poor.

As far as the previous thought being of them being an island - link - Here, you can see that they refer to their destination as being 'on the continent', beyond the Basitin shores - thus, inland. The island we see there must be not in the ocean, but in a lake.

Ooo.. I forgot about that! Yes yes :3

And Keith is mine. People need to stop chasing him.

Anyways, yay for an update! The map looks beautiful [you should see my sad attempt at drawing a map....] and look at Flora's belly! I wonder if it's a boy or a girl...

So, we are going to see what Flora's homeland looks like. This should be very interesting. I wonder if were going to learn more about Flora's past like we did about Trace from Lady Nora.

BTW, great job on the map Tom.

it's probably best to note that the southern point is still in the keidran territory. and therefore, unlikely that a human ship (with keidran slaves on it) would be welcome in port.

as for this, it is possible that the island in the picture is not actually lyn'knoll at all. it isn't labeled and and may just be the basitin isles that lyn'knoll is supposed to be beyond.

regardless, i find it funny that their destination, lyn'knoll, is marked with an X (X never marks the spot, as Dr. Jones puts it). Also, this is Erics's map. why would Trace's destination be marked on it? did Eric give it to him? Eric isn't supposed to know about lyn'knoll (i doubt Nora has told him, at least).

EDIT: maybe trace marked it on his own later
