I'm sure it's been asked before (in fact, I may've asked it on the old forum, I forget now..) but do you (Tom) do commissions?

Being quite fond of the style, I'd be willing to pay (or at least barter* in some aspect, as international money transfer is a pain) for a character portraiture. So would it be possible? Is time an issue, would it take too long to be worth opening that can of worms, or what?

I'm curious. ^^ Ever after good pictures of my reasonably unique character, and since I'm currently working a well-paid job, I'd like to get some pieces from a few of my favourite artists before the money runs dry again. :D

* By barter I mean order something like DVD/Manga, books, art supplies or some similar thing for X value from say, an amazon 'want' list or something.

Yes, I do accept commissions. ^_^ I am currently finishing up two right now, so I have some time on my hands. Prices are negotiable, and though I don't currently have an Amazon wish list, I'm sure something could be worked out if need be. I normally accept money transfers thru Paypal.

Hope that helps. ^^

Dude, that's sweet! I want one! Sadly, I don't think I'd be able to afford one...I was gonna look into buyng on at Tina Leyeks' site, but she wanted like $100! Though I do suppose it's worth it... most of hers' are painted, and take a LONG time... Anyway, how much does one typically cost Tom?

Here is my price chart:

-----10 dollars for a pencil sketch.
+2 dollars for greyscale shading, or
+5 dollars for color.
-----15 dollars for an inked piece.
+5 dollars for greyscale shading, or
+10 dollars for color.

+5 dollars for each additional character over three.

Posters:
7x11 drawing cost +10 dollars to print, and shipping.
23x36 drawing cost +20 dollars to print, and shipping.

Example: an inked, colored poster would cost 15 + 10 + 20 = 45 dollars total.

I hope that helps. ^_^ Like I said, these prices aren't set in stone, so I'm open for negotiations. I don't really get a lot of commission work, but I like doing it when I can. I think it's fun drawing from other people's imagination. ^_^ I hope to get a commission page up at tomartstudios.com soon, if anything just to have a place to direct people to.

How do we go about contacting you if we want to place a commission?

If you wish to place a commission, just send me an email saying that your interested, and tell me what you want. I'll give you a quote and make a quick dummy sketch, and if you still want it, send the money over via Paypal, and I'll finish it up. That's it ^^
