anyway seems we do learn a thing or two about Trace's past..
And guess who's here again our mistery man... now I know he isn't just human ^^ he's been arround since Trace started his templar training :shock:
So in fact meeting Saria seems to have indeed contributed to his becoming evil...

So is it safe for us to call Lady Nora a cougar?

What about the Power Rangers?

One of my favorite strips so far.

I agree with that in terms of her death contributing to Trace becoming evil, but Saria did not seem the Kerdian hating type when we first saw her.

It seems though that Trace and Nora knew each other than quite earlier than what a few of us (including me) expected.

She didn't seem to hate Keidran at all. Definitely not in death, anyway, despite being killed by them.

This strip goes well with chicken noodle soup. I know this because I was eating it when I read the strip. :P

It doesn't say directly that meeting Saria was the reason for Trace's transformation into an evil templar. It just says that things changed when Trace met Saria, and that he ended up a megalomaniac, but I'd like to know what happened in between.

Judging by this strip, the fact that Keidrans killed Saria was not the reason for Trace's hatred of them. He hated them before, or at least was irritated by them getting along with humans.

So it must have been something that happened in his childhood.

Perhaps his parents, or at least one of them, was killed by a Keidran as well?

Young Keith was way more cute. I think it was all the fuzz :P

Agreed. I'm surprised myself. I hadn't figured that he and Nora would have come into close contact until Trace was about twenty, not sixteen. It raises the question as to what Nora's doing too. She must have been pretty involved with the Templar even then, if she had regular discussion with Trace, and she's at least aware of the progress of all his peers.


Why take a bet for something we already know the answer for? Her cause of death was written on her tombstone.

It occurs to me that Trace's hatred and dislike of Keidran could be irrational -- based on some sort of paranoia. After all, we've historical precedent. (What real-world, horrifyingly evil leader with an irrational hatred attempted world domination and nearly succeeded? Not that I'm trying to invoke Godwin's Law, mind you, it just occurs to me that there's a historical precedent for this sort of hatred.)

You know, after almost twenty years, you'd think Trace would change his hair cut. :P
